Mary Catherine Mallioux, 92, of Fayetteville, died Monday, June 20, 2022 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. She was born Aug. 28, 1929, in Ripley, Tenn. , to Marcus and Faye Williams. The best times of her life were those spent with family and close friends. She was a wonderful, sweet soul, caring wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend who will be very much missed. Catherine grew up on a family farm in Tennessee that was run by her father and her two brothers, Alex and Sam. After her mother left the home, Catherine became the head of the house as a teenager, cooking and doing all the domestic chores as her father and brothers worked the farm, while also attending school. She graduated from Harding University in Searcy, Ark. , with a degree in accounting. After college she moved to Memphis, Tenn. , where she started her career in accounting for a construction business. While in Memphis, she met Allen Mallioux and they married in 1952.
