"Madge peacefully passed away on February 10, 2024, at Accura Healthcare of Milford. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, dedicated teacher, passionate gardener, and cherished friend and neighbor. Her needlework is still being appreciated by her extended family. Madge D. Dahms was born to Royal and Mae Dahms near Browntown, Wisconsin. There she became a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse for grades 1-8. She married Ronald Clifford Olson in 1951, and they set up a household in Estherville, Iowa, and then moved to the Olson farm near Dolliver, Iowa, in 1956. After her children were in school, Madge continued her teaching career at Lincoln Central Dolliver/Gruver for many years. In 1997, she and Ron moved to the West Okoboji Lake Harbor where she resided until 2023. Madge is survived by her sons, Mark (Jeanne) Olson of Rochester, MN, Kurt (Melba) Olson of Ames, IA, and her daughter, Cathy (Roger) Thornburg of Estherville, IA. She leaves behind a legacy cherished by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, her brother Dean Dahms of Maryland, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald in 2018, two brothers, Frederick and Rex Dahms, and sister-in-law, Velma Olney Stewart Simon. A celebration of Madge\u0027s life and burial will be held at a later date."

James Allen Kimball, age 42, passed away Friday December 15, 2023, at the Greenfield Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born on December 5, 1981, the son of Joann (Spafford) Geese and Daniel Geese Sr. James is survived by his parents, Dan and Joann Geese; a sister, Juanita Arias; two step-brothers, Jason Geese, Daniel Geese, and several aunts, uncles, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother, Harry Arias. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a. m. until 1:00 p. m. on Friday December 22, 2023, at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. Graveside services will take place at 1:30 p. m. following visitation in the Hardin's Creek Cemetery at Bridges.

Kenneth E. Spencer, age 75 of Hillsboro, Ohio formerly of the Monongahela, Pennsylvania area, passed away peacefully early Monday morning December 11, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born May 29, 1948 in Monongahela, the son of the late Harry G. and Eleanor (Ross) Spencer. Mr. Spencer retired from Airborne Express in 2009 after a career of over forty years as an aircraft mechanic and inspector. He enjoyed many years of dirt track racing in the tri-state area. Ken took pride in helping others and was well known for assisting fellow racers with their racing programs. He was also an avid hunter and had lots of "trophies" he enjoyed showing to his friends. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. He is survived by two children, Tammy (Donald) Bendel of Bentleyville, PA, and Kevin (Nicole Neville) Spencer of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Derek (Livy) Bendel, Dustin (Carlye) Bendel, Devin Anne Bendel, Nathan Spencer, Natalie Spencer and Emma Hall; a great granddaughter due January 1, 2024, Annabelle Mae Bendel; and one brother, Ronald Spencer. He leaves many close friends from the dirt track racing community and also leaves his faithful companion "Suzy". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Daniele. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p. m. until 7:00 p. m. on Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. A memorial service and celebration of his life will follow at 7:00 p. m.

Fred Allan Dumford, age 67, of Mt Orab, passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2023. He was born the son of the late Fred and Wanda Spaeth Dumford on December 7, 1956 in Clinton County. Allan loved to work on things and restore old tractors. He worked as a farmer and at Mayer Farm Equipment as the parts manager and a salesman. Allan is survived by his wife, Judy Myers Dumford, whom he married on October 1, 1983; his son, Jason (Jordan) Dumford of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Abbi Yarber who has resided with him since 2009, Morgan & Riley Dumford of Wilmington, Mia & Rowen Dumford of Lynchburg, and one on the way; and sisters, Lisa Johnson and Linda Mitchell. In addition to his parents, Allan was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Stegbauer Dumford; daughter, Susan Dumford; brother, David Dumford; and nephews, Danny Allen and John Mitchell. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm at Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Burial will follow at Buford Cemetery.
