In Loving Memory of Mary L. Julian, wife of Lee Julian who proceeded her in death on January 18, 2010. Mary joined her Lord and Savior peacefully in a care home in the Phoenix, AZ area on April 30, 2023. Mary was born at home in Baron Fork, Oklahoma, on September 21, 1932. She was the third child of five born to Pender Duncan and Florence (Sanders) Duncan. She was proceeded in death by her older sisters, Beth Combs and Jean Triplett. She is survived by her sister Gwendolyn G Freeman and brother Virner R Duncan. Her two children, Genelle Totman and her husband, Bob Totman, and Dale Julian and his wife Linda Julian. Mary has four grandchildren, Shanna Cahill and her husband Ian Cahill, Cody Totman and his wife Angela Totman, Matthew Julian and his wife Denise Julian, and Alissa Goulden and her husband David Goulden. She has eight great-grandchildren, Braden Totman, Logan Totman, Aubrey Cahill, Emily Cahill, Lydie Julian, Jake Julian, Kenley Goulden, and Ila Goulden. Mary moved from Oklahoma to Phoenix to start her career with the federal government. She joined the Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs as a mail clerk. She worked her way up to become the Chief Personnel Officer for the Southwest Region of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Mary retired after 38 years of service to spend the next 22 years traveling, camping, and fishing with Lee. She spent the next 13 years living independently in the home they purchased together in 1959. She had a zest for life and was always up for new adventures. She enjoyed meeting new people and made many friends at her church, La Casa de Cristo, where she participated in many women's group activities. Family and her faith were utmost in her life.
