Warren, OH

WARREN – Edyth Alene Hartz, born on February 1, 1938, in the town of Andover, Ohio, departed from this world on February 15, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley “Bruce” Hartz, sharing an enduring bond for nearly 67 years. Edyth dedicated over three decades of her life to service at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Warren, Ohio, leaving an indelible mark through her commitment, compassion, and friendships. She was also a longtime volunteer of Trumbull Mobile Meals, where she lovingly baked birthday cakes for the subscribers. Her green thumb transformed gardens into vibrant tapestries, and her connection with nature extended to her role as the “hummingbird whisperer,” a testament to her gentle spirit and appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us. A voracious reader, she found wisdom and joy in the world of literature. Her love for books, gardening, and birds was matched only by her talent in the kitchen. An incredible baker, her creations were expressions of love that brought smiles and joy to so many lives. Edyth was the heart and soul of her family, an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her memory will live on in the hearts of loved ones: son Sidney Hartz (Jamie) of Newton Falls, daughter Kathy Keeler (John) of Leavittsburg, and her late son Scott Hartz. She will be missed greatly by so many, including her grandchildren Lark Keeler (Jason), Marybeth Keeler, (John), Matt Hartz (Amy), and Jason Hartz (Jess). Edyth’s spirit is carried on by her great-grandchildren Shyane Hartz, Sophia Nidel, Claire Kennedy, and Lily Kennedy. While we mourn the loss of such a cherished person, let us also celebrate her well-lived life, filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. May her love and light be a source of comfort and inspiration for all who were fortunate enough to know her. Per Edyth’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. The family kindly requests donations be made to Trumbull Mobile Meals, Inc. or St. Jude Children’s Hospital in celebration of her life. Arrangements are entrusted to Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, Ohio 44483, 330-394-6200. Dedicated To Serving Your Loved Ones.
