OneontaRichard M. Roveland passed away holding the hands of his loving children at Binghamton General Hospital's Palliative Care Unit after facing several health challenges. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to the late Michael S. and Elvera M. (Blanco) Roviello. Richard received his associate's degree in Dairy Industry from Farmingdale State College in 1960, moving upstate a few years later where he felt most at home. After starting a family, he went back to college to earn his B. S. in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University in 1969, of which he was particularly proud. He was a longtime resident of Clifton Park, New York, but resided in several locales including New Berlin, Johnson City and the Oneonta, New York area, as well as a spending a cherished year in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He advanced through the ranks of the New York State Department of Labor, first in Binghamton, and then in Albany, retiring as an Associate Economist in 1996. He loved the outdoors, especially the Adirondacks, and enjoyed cross-country skiing, running and hiking. He derived particular satisfaction from trimming trees and doing yardwork for anyone who would let him help out. Richard was an avid reader as well as a Civil War history and classic car buff. He was extremely generous to family, friends and those in need, and supported numerous charities. He is survived by his daughter, Blythe (Barrett) Roveland-Brenton of Vestal, New York and son, Michael (Dena) Roveland of St. Petersburg, Florida; granddaughter, Clara Brenton, and step-granddaughter Allison Rudnicki. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Marilyn Roveland of Morris, New York as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He had a special bond with his brother-in-law, Gary Jones of Otego, New York. He is predeceased by his brothers Lawrence and Alan Roviello, daughter-in-law Darlene Roveland, and nephew Luke Roviello. A memorial to celebrate his life will take place at a future date for family and friends. South New BerlinPatricia M. Osborne, 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born on February 11, 1950, in Norwich to the late John and Anne (Nelson) Fradenburg. Patricia is fondly known as Mom and Nana/Grandma, her most loved roles and names. Most friends and other family members refer to her as Pat. Pat was born in Norwich, NY but lived most of her youth and young adulthood in Sherburne and South New Berlin. In 1972, she married Dick, her soulmate and best friend of 51 years. The 70's continued to be a time of great joy with the birth of her first baby girl Kelly, her baby boy Matt, and the news of the upcoming birth of her youngest baby girl, Wendy. Her children continued to fill her life with happiness with the addition of her grandchildren Conor, Cameron, Myriah and Carter. The greatest joy of her life was her family. She loved and supported her family with every fiber of her being. This love and support did not only extend to her husband, children and grandchildren, but to all other family members and friends. In 1978, she became "mom" to her littlest sister after the death of her stepfather. One might think this would be hard, but she made it look easy and fostered a love and bond between her now four children that would become unbreakable. As a mother and nana, she paid attention to every detail from making favorite meals at Sunday dinner to attending every concert, ceremony and sporting event she could. She continued to be present for major events up until her final days, even if it was via live-stream. She had an unwavering desire to be present for her family and check on their well-being every day. Patricia is survived by her husband, Richard; her children, Kelly Osborne, Matt (Melissa) Osborne, Wendy (Brenton) Taylor; Evamarie (Robert) Cooper; grandchildren, Cameron Osborne, Conor Pope, Myriah Taylor, Carter Taylor; Everett Brown, and Olivia Cooper; Her twin brother Michael (Donna) Fradenburg; and her sisters, Mary Terri (Jim) Weir, Jacqueline (Hugh) Cook, Beth (Bryan) Loomis; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins she loved and adored. Family and friends are invited to her Calling Hours on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 10:00 A. M. to 12:00 P. M. at the Johnston & Staminer Funeral Home, 60 Broad Street, Morris. Her Funeral Service will follow the Calling Hours at the funeral home with the Rev. John Buddle officiating. Her Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery, Gilberstville. ONEONTANelson Ostrander Teed, 91, a long time Morris resident, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at A. O. Fox Memorial Hospital, Oneonta. He was born the son of Earl and Tillie (Weiss) Teed on February 29, 1932, in Cannonsville, NY. He graduated from New Berlin Central School, Class of 1950. Nelson had various occupations over the years including driving bread truck for Durkee's, farming, plowing snow, driving school bus for Morris Central School; however, he is probably best known for his work doing excavation when he owned his local business, Nelson Teed Excavating. He enjoyed playing as much as working including hunting, harness racing, bowling, playing pool and almost any card or board game. He was involved with many organizations including Odd Fellows in South New Berlin, Director of the Otsego County Fair, Hillington Cemetery Board, Morris Grange, and Morris Pony Club. He was one of the founding members of the Otsego Snowmobile Club. He was known by many for his jovial, friendly, stubborn but easy-going personality. Nelson enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nelson is survived by Betty, his loving wife of 39 years ; daughters, Rosemarie (Jeffrey) Casale and Priscilla (JT)Thompson; step children, Timothy (Cecilia) Teed, Rebecca (David) Sickles, Julia (Thomas) Bjorvand; grandchildren, Natalie, Sara, Ian, Shane, Brynn, Jonathan, Brian, Amanda, Robert, Jeffrey, and Connor, great-grandchildren GG and Avi; sisters-in-law Joyce and Darlene Teed, brothers-in-law Charles Wyckoff, Wayne Wyckoff and William DeMun; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins and many special friends, old and new. He was predeceased by his parents Earl and Tillie Teed; his sister Arrietta; brothers, Christoph, Truman, and Leon and sister-in-law, Arlene Wyckoff. Robert G ElliottAugust 11, 1933 - August 5, 2023Robert "Bob" Elliott (89) of Morris, NY, passed away at Albany Medical Center on Saturday, August 5, 2023. Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife of almost 62 years, Rose Holdridge Elliott, and their children: Rebecca (Mary Lou Murrock) Elliott; Robin Elliott; Robert (Marie) Elliott; Rene Elliott; Roseanne Elliott; Raymond (Janna) Elliott; Ryan (Sarah) Elliott. Bob was the proud Grampa of Connor (Heather McCue) Johnson, Clay (Raisa) Johnson, Brooke (Thomas Cormier) Elliott, Sara Feinland, Beth (Matt Kinkade) Elliott, Jacob Feinland, Rachel Collier, Roslynne Elliott, Robert Collier, Grace Guydosh, Rhys Elliott, Victoria Elliott and Rhett Elliott. He was Great-Grampa to Lauren Johnson, Ryleigh Kinkade and Alex Johnson. He is also survived by his sister, Rita Elliott, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was born August 11, 1933, in New Berlin, NY, to the late Rose Perry and Raymond Elliott. He attended grade school in Oneonta and graduated from Morris Central School in Morris. Bob proudly served in the 6981st Radio Squadron of the United States Air Force at Elmendorf AFB during the Korean War, from September 1951-August 1955. Bob was an avid storyteller with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed going for coffee at the local diners, where he would trade tales of cars, motorcycles and military experiences. He was a member of the Crosley Club of America. Bob loved tinkering on and racing Volkswagens, Crosleys, and foreign sports cars on all manner of track, including asphalt, dirt, and ice. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 1:00pm at Hillington Cemetery in Morris, NY. The family will receive friends following the service at the home. The family would like to thank the amazing staff of At-Home Care, Albany Medical Center, and Bassett Medical Center for their wonderful care of Bob. BAINBRIDGE: Edna Terry, 89, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the Norwich Rehab & Nursing Center. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, political and pet advocate were her best attributes to family and friends. She was adored by all who met her. Tatting and designing macrame chairs were talents she passed on to anyone wanting to learn this. She also donated specialized chairs for fund raising projects. Those preceding before her were her parents, Clark Adams and Doris Adams (Welch), her sister Anna Beekee (Adams), her husband Arthur (Jack) Terry, and her son Leslie Terry. Her surviving family is her half brother Clark Adams, her daughter-in-law Mary Ann Chen, daughter and son-in-law Tracy and James DeMatteo, her grandchildren May-Ling Leslie Terry, Arthur and his wife Nicole Terry, Danielle DeMatteo, andBeth and James DeMatteo; great grandchildren Hannah Terry, Madison Terry, Katerina DeMatteo, Evan DeMatteo, and Allyson DeMatteo. Her extended family Patty, Mike and Ron Horoszewski and Joe Seymore held a special bond that Edna cherished deeply in her heart. Also surviving are her sister-in-law Janice Phillips (Terry); nieces Cindy Strauss, Pam Phillips, and Donna Stanton; and nephew Ardo Thomas and his family. Vernon Center / UnadillaMarlena Card passed away August 14, 2023 at the home of her daughter Angela. She was born in Unadilla on December 6, 1944; the only child of Stanley Herron and Laura Haynes. She attended Unadilla School, then married Robert Barton. Together, they had four children. They later divorced and she married Bill Card. Together, they had one son, Matthew William. Marlena worked at Fays, Rite Aid, and Walmart as a pharmacy technician. She was extremely proud of her children, loyal to her friends, and loved animals more than people. She had many animal friends that brought her tremendous joy. Marlena loved the holidays, Elvis, baking, horses, and anything spiritual. She is survived by her children: Angela (Chuck) Drobneck of Guilford, Cynthia (Michael) Hall of Unadilla, Joseph (Evelyn) Barton of Gouverneur, Robert (Meagan) Barton, Jr. of Sidney, Matthew (Marnie) Card of Vernon Center, stepdaughter Kim (Jonathan) White of NC, and her Shih Tzu, Tori. Marlena had 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her mother Laura in 2002, and her husband Bill in 2020. Services will be Friday, August 18th at 1pm at the Unadilla Center United Methodist Church, 1203 Butternut Road, Unadilla, with Reverend John Buddle officiating. There will be no calling hours, and she requested people dress casual and wear pink if possible. Burial will follow at Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla, NY where she will be reunited with her soulmate Bill. Marlene didn't want people to mourn her because she is going to her forever home where there will be no pain or sorrow. "Grieve for me then go on with your lives.
