Joy shared with us that she experienced great peace, joy and felt truly loved by Jesus and was very grateful to Father Le for bringing her the sacraments and reminding her to never be afraid, Jesus is always right there with each of us. Those of us who were lucky enough to know Joy knew she was a social butterfly who enjoyed attending parties and loved picnics. She also loved wildlife, especially cats and “Roddy” the golden retriever who would visit her while at The Oaks at Woodfield assisted living. Joy had a special place in her heart for her rose garden which was something she would take great pleasure tending to every day. Joy wanted to make sure to thank all the priests, her friends, neighbors and everyone who took care of her, prayed for her, helped her in any way that she was very grateful to them and for them.
