We remember and celebrate the life of Mary Christine Adams, known as Chris, who departed to be with the Lord at the age of 73 on September 10, 2023. Chris was born on May 10, 1950. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and cherished friend. Chris had a smile that lit up a room. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength that will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Chris is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Adams. Chris' memory will be treasured by her children Jennifer Arnett (Nicolas) and Timothy Adamosky and four grandchildren Anthony Matthews, Elizabeth Adams, Alexander Arnett, and Katerina Arnett. Beloved daughter of Charles Kenzig (deceased) and Teresa (nee Lynch) (deceased) and granddaughter of James Martin (deceased) and Margaret (nee Linden) (deceased). Loving sister of Charles Kenzig (Helen) , Stephen Kenzig (deceased) (Susan), Karen Janesz (Joseph), Patrice Kenzig (deceased), Daniel Kenzig (deceased) (Joanne), Linda Riess (deceased) (Raymond), James Kenzig (Lynne), and Sheryl Fumich (Peter). And too many uncles, aunts, and cousins to mention. As we gather to remember and honor Mary Christine Adams, let us celebrate her life, her love, and the unforgettable memories she left behind. Click Livestream Link below to watch services: Obituary Edward Davis, Jr. was born on July 4, 1945 to Nazarene Caldwell and Edward Davis, Sr. in Danville, Virginia. He was the oldest of 6 siblings, Billy, Debra, Larry (deceased), Boyd (deceased), and Gary (deceased). He joined the Navy during the Vietnam era and was honorably discharged following an underwater explosion on his vessel which prevented him from going overseas. On October 8, 1966 he wedded Carol Jean Woodson. They were married for 57 years and from this union they had 3 children, Edward (deceased), Susan Carol (deceased), and Scott Woodson. He has four grandchildren, Lexus, Glenda, Anderson Edward and Jasmine Kennedy. He join Eureka Lodge #52 of the Prince Hall Masons where he became a Worshipful Master and a 33 Degree Mason. He was also a member of Bethel Chapter #58 OES. He loved doing ritualistic work with the Masons and working alongside his wife with youth groups sponsored by the Masons. Ed worked as a warehouse project manager, truck driver and entrepreneur. He and his wife owned a video and ice cream store in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. In retirement, he worked alongside his wife in her catering business, Carol's Eatable Art. He battled diabetes eventually losing a leg to the disease but this only hardened his resolve to become more active. He re-learned how to drive with only one leg. He also became active with the Veterans Administration wheelchair games, participating in their various events around the country. He participated on the VA bowling, bocce ball, and slalom racing teams. He even scaled a rock climbing wall and this year he had hopes of doing the winter sports games. He was always on the move. His greatest love was his grandchildren and he enjoyed spending time with them. This year he had the opportunity to walk his oldest granddaughter Lexus down the aisle. You could also catch him courtside watching his grandson Anderson playing basketball and watching his youngest granddaughter Jasmine in her dance recitals or delivering her powerful oratories. Wherever you saw Ed, you saw Carol. They were best friends. He loved his family and his cousin Helen who he thought of like a sister. He is a shining example of a life well lived.Show more

Mary Jane (nee: Baraga) Kowalski, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at the Slovene Home For The Aged in Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 92. She was a devoted, loved and cherished daughter, wife, mother and great-grandmother, affectionately known as Gi Gi Ma by Nate. Mary Jane was born on September 4, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended East Madison Primary School and graduated from John Hay High School. In her early years, she worked at the former Cleveland Press Newspaper. Throughout her life, Mary Jane was known by her family and friends for her warm, funny, extremely generous and loving personality. She is survived by her children, Janet (Gregory) Swider and Michael (Karen) Christy; grandchildren, Adam Swider, Laura (Stephen) Christy Singleton, Thomas Christy (fiance, Kaitlin) and great-grandson, Nathanael August Swider. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Joseph Baraga; her beloved husband, August J. "Mickey" Kowalski; and several aunts and uncles, Anna Ban, John Ban, George Ban, Sophia Kopec and Helen Carevich. She was also very blessed by her four-legged, much-loved dog, Cindy. One of Mary Jane's many joys in her early years was spending vacations with Mickey and her whole family on Kelley's Island, and later in life on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City with Mickey, who would have literally hung the moon and stars for her if possible. She treasured these moments as well as the countless and priceless times she spent with her children, and so very loved and adored grandchildren. Her influence on them will last a lifetime, her love for them will last an eternity. They were her bright and shining light, and their lives were made so much richer for having had her in them. Kenneth A. Gordon PhD, age 76, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023. Kenneth was born in Cleveland, OH. Preceded in death by his loving parents, Victor and Helen, brother Gary, and brother-in-law Ed Pershey. Survived by siblings Monica and Steven (Patricia). Ken was a world traveler, fluent and literate in several languages, and a scholar of European literature, culture, and history. A graduate of Kent State University, the University of Michigan, The Ohio State University, and the University of California, Santa Barbara, he was a professor of modern languages and department chair at the University of Central Missouri and Winthrop University. Ken participated in humanitarian trips to Cuba with the B'nai B'rith Cuban Jewish Relief Project, bringing religious materials and medical supplies to Cuban Jews. His scholarship included study of the Sephardic diaspora and the Judeo-Spanish endangered language, Ladino. He conducted research interviews with Jews in Argentina and other countries. Ken was a supporter of Doctors Without Borders, and donations in his memory are appreciated. Graveside funeral services will be held at Zion Memorial Park, 5461 Northfield Rd. , Bedford, on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 10 AM. SHE WAS A LOVING, DEVOTED MOTHER TO MANY AND HER HOME WAS ALWAYS OPEN TO ENTERTAIN AND ENJOY FOOD AND FAMILY FESTIVITIES. GUSSIE ENJOYED COOKING MEALS FOR HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND WAS A WONDERFUL COOK. SHE ALSO TRULY ENJOYED PLAYING CARDS. GUSSIE WAS EMPLOYED WITH FORD MOTOR COMPANY FOR SEVERAL YEARS. SHE WAS ALSO EMPLOYED AT OHIO ROCKY KNOLL HEALTH CARE CENTER AS AN AIDE. DURING HER LATER YEARS SHE WAS A CAREGIVER AND A HOME HEALTH AIDE.
