Marvin Glen Culbertson passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. Service: 10:00 A. M. Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Azle Church of Christ. Visitation: 4:00 P. M. to 6:30 P. M. Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at White's Azle Chapel. Interment: Salem Cemetery in Rutherford, Tennessee. Marvin was born January 22, 1940, in Douglas, Oklahoma, to Charles William Culbertson, Sr. , and Anna Beatrice (Blakely) Culbertson. He graduated from high school in Garber, OK. , and after high school received his Electrical Engineering Associate Degree from Oklahoma State University. He played football in high school and enjoyed fishing and skeet shooting. Marvin worked as a "soda jerk" at the local drug store while in high school. He was very proud to tell stories about this job behind the counter because you hardly see them anymore. Marvin honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War on a Navy ship from 1962 to 1966. Afterwards he worked for 35 years at the Standards Lab at General Dynamics which later became Lockheed Martin, calibrating test equipment for the planes they built to keep us safe. Marvin married the love of his life, Mary Ann Page, December 26, 1977, in Fort Worth. Marvin was a member of the Azle Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents: siblings, Ethelynn Francis Culbertson Owens, Charles William Culbertson, Jr. , Clifford Lee Culbertson, Mary Anna Culbertson Leseberg Brauer, and Patricia Lou Culbertson Bane. Survivors: Loving wife of almost 46 years, Mary Ann Culbertson; children, DeAnna Ordonez, Debra Davis, and Christopher Culbertson; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Neil Cobb; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Franklin (Frank) Davis passed away on November 4, 2023 at the age of 89 in Willow Park, TX. Frank was born on November 28, 1933 in Hedley, TX to the late O. B. Davis, Sr and Gertrude Watson Davis. Frank met the love of his life, Barbara Millslagle in 1954 in Denver, Colorado. They would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this coming December. They moved their family back and forth between Colorado and Texas before finally making their home in Millsap, TX in 1968. Frank was a long time fixture in the Millsap community, always helping anyone that he could. You could always find him at the local gas station enjoying his morning coffee or afternoon iced tea and catching up on the local news with his friends. Frank was a jack of all trades and held many jobs over the years and finally retired from the Weatherford College Mineral Wells Campus maintenance department. Frank's favorite hobby was being on his lawn mower mowing the grass. The joke always was that if Frank's grass was taller than a quarter inch then you better check on him because there was something wrong. But Frank's greatest pride and joy was his family and his friends that soon became family along the way. Frank is survived by his wife, Barbara Davis of Millsap, TX. His daughters Kathy Ortiz of Millsap and Debbie Spurgeon (Robert) of Cleburne. He is also survived by his five grandchildren Elisa Reveles (John), Franco Oritz (Jamie), Laura Diduch (Scott), Brenda Spurgeon, Robbie Spurgeon (Aimee) and adopted grandchildren Leanna and Chad Davis. Frank has nine great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren that he is survived by. Frank is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Dewey Davis, Odell Davis, O. B. Davis Jr, Clifford Davis, Virgil Davis, Winfred Davis, Fred Davis, Billy Davis, Sr and sister Bonnie Rhoades. Frank is also predeceased by his son-in-law, Bernardo Ortiz. A memorial service will be held on November 11, 2023 at 2pm at Baum Carlock Baumgardner Funeral Home.Show more

Kathleen Amber Hosford Sarver passed peacefully in her home on November 4, 2023. She was born in Miami, Florida on January 23, 1967. She grew up in Mineral Wells, Texas where she also graduated high school at Mineral Wells High School, Class of 1985. Her dream was to become a psychologist. She ended up attending Florida Institute of Technology where she earned her bachelors degree in forensic psychology. She married the love of her life Kevin Christopher Sarver at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on May 26, 1990. Amber also had a profound love for the beach, football, true crime stories, and her customers that she adored at H&R Block where she was employed as office manager. But most of all, she loved her family and friends, especially her daughters and grandchildren. Amber was preceded in death by her father Kermit Hosford of Mineral Wells. Survivors include her husband: Kevin Christopher Sarver of Mineral Wells, daughters and grandchildren: Rachel Martin and children Aubrey and Braden Martin of Euless, TX, Kayla Sarver of Fort Worth, and Madison Sarver and partner Sergio Avila and children: Sereniti and Aurelia Avila of Mineral Wells, brother and sister-in-law: John and Sara Hosford and nephew: Kyle Hosford of Allen, TX, and her mother: Cathie Hosford of Mineral Wells, TX. The rosary and visitation is 6 PM Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in the Chapel. Mass is 10 AM Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. It is with great sadness we share with you that Linda Marie Hart passed away at home November 2nd 2023. She was a long-time resident of Graford, Texas and had recently moved to Mineral Wells to be cared for by her daughter, Mitzi. Linda was born in Tupelo, Mississippi to Ruth Marie Hathcock and Meredith Maxwell Gore on February 23rd 1955. She married Prentice Hart on May 28th 1980. Linda spent most of her life as a homemaker, truck driver, and line cook. She had the most giving loving soul. She was known as mom to many and mother to 5 of her own kids whom she loved with her whole heart. Linda enjoyed collecting dragons, reading books, going fishing, putting together puzzles of any kind, size, or shape, cross word searches, scrabble, and was quite the trivia wiz. She must have known everything. She was passionate about cooking specifically at the cafe in Graford for several years. Many of her customers and coworkers have stayed close to her heart and was always on her mind. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 29 years, Prentice Ray Hart; her mother and father; brothers, Charles Gore, Daniel Gore; and sister, Gwendolyn Gore. Survivors include her daughter, Mitzi Baugus and Husband Steve of Mineral Wells; sons, Jamie Franks of Mineral Wells, William Franks and wife Vickie of Graford, Wesley Hart and wife Colleen of Graford; Josh Hart and wife Shaunna of Graford; granddaughters, Meagan McAllister, Sorche Holt; and grandson, Andy(man) Hughes; many great grand kids and even a great-great grandchild. All of whom she loved so very much. Her loss is bitter sweet. Linda's memory will be cherished by all that knew her. Until we meet again. Visitation will be at Baum Carlock Funeral Home from 6 - 8pm Monday. Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark McCutchen officiating. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, hugs, and kind words of encouragement during this difficult time.
