Memorial Service for Marty Kevin Bridges age 63 of Hartselle will be Monday, September 11, 2023, at 4:30pm at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Geoff Halbrooks officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00pm until service time on Monday at the funeral home. His remains will be buried at Forrest Chapel Cemetery later. Mr. Bridges, who was born November 24, 1959, in Morgan County to Truman Roy Bridges and Opal Pearl Morgan Bridges, died on Friday, September 8, 2023, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Marty worked at Copeland as a set-up man for 20 years and then began a career as an over the road truck driver for Western Express and then drove local for BPI for 10 years until his retirement to care for his aging parents. Marty had a true passion for music and was a tremendous, accomplished bass guitar player. In his younger years, Marty played for the bass for several gospel music groups but was most known for playing with the Soul Seekers from Hartselle. He grew up attending Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church and he knew and loved God. Later in life, Marty developed a love and passion for Rock and Roll music, enjoyed getting together with his friends and his band, "Bad Hat Hairy" in his "Music Room" and jamming out. He had a deep love for his family and his beloved bulldogs, Roscoe, and Dixie. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Bridges. Funeral service for Faye McDonald, 85, will be Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Burcham officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Mrs. McDonald went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 24, 2023 at her residence. She was born August 16, 1938, in Morgan County, to Dewey McKinley Ledlow and Carrie Lindsey Ledlow. Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and daughter, that always took care of her mother. She loved yard sales, necklaces, enjoyed sewing, loved to quilt and was a family oriented, simple woman. She was very close to her best friends, Betty and Levada. She was always at church, as long as her health allowed and was a godly woman. Faye was one of eleven children and was proud of her large family. Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert, her parents, brothers, Michael Ledlow, Hardy Ledlow and Clinton Ledlow, a sister, Louise Tucker and a daughter, Ann Davenport. Survivors include Daughters- Kay Fayard Judy McDonald Brothers - Clyde Ledlow, Clayton Ledlow and Donald Ledlow Sisters - Patricia Maze, Francis Stover and Carolyn Smith Seven Grandchildren Thirteen Great Grandchildren Five Great Great Grandchildren Pallbearers will be Lance Fowler, Brian Fowler, Brad Fowler, Mark Curvin, Nathaniel Davenport and James McDonald.
