Mary Kathryn Thomas Johnson was born in Shirley, Arkansas on April 29th, 1935, to Joe and Clara Harness. She was the youngest of 9 children. She gained her heavenly reward on November 24th, 2023. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Mary was kind, generous, and hard working. She was known by many names, she was Momma, Aunt Mary, Aunt what about me, Ms. Mary, Granny Red, Nena, and Nene. She lived her life so others could see Christ through her. She loved every person as if they were family. She'd always say, "pretty is what pretty does". She believed that beauty was not on the outside, but how you treated people. Mary is survived by her son and daughter in law Randy and Kathy Thomas of Bee Branch, AR her daughter Cathy Brown of Benton AR, and her grandchildren Caleb Brown (Hillary), Jeremy Brown (Bethany), Hunter Brown (Kayla), Hannah Brown, Julianna Brown, and Emily Thomas all of Benton AR. She was also survived by her 5 great grandchildren who brought great joy. Her visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 P. M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. Her celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023, at 11:00 A. M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home with everyone meeting at Bethel Cemetery in Sheridan following the service.Show more

Ed Pace, 92, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, November 18th, 2023, safely in his home. Ed was born in Lake Village, Arkansas on Thursday, March 19th, 1931. He is predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Myra J Pace, and one son, Bob Pace. He is survived by his two loving daughters, Linda S. Jones and her husband, Bart, and Cindy L. Wagner and her husband, Scott, and granddaughter, Addie Backus Pace. Ed retired from the US Air Force as a major after 21 years of service. Ed had a successful 2nd career after retiring from the Air Force in the banking industry for over 50 years. Ed was a generous loving father and grandfather. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. There is no service scheduled at this time.Show more

Manuel Cooper, Sr. , 55, of Mabelvale, Arkansas was born to the late, Henry Buddy Cooper, Sr. and Pansy (Harrison) Cooper, on Friday, July 26th, 1968, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The chains and shackles finally fell off and the gates to Heaven opened for him on Friday, October 27th, 2023, in Leakesville, Mississippi. He is finally set free. For anyone who knew Manuel, they would know how big of a personality he had. He was loud, always making you laugh, and he loved everybody. He would light up every room he walked in. His presence will be truly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Jackie Howard, Walter Cooper, Henry Cooper Jr. , Mary Drury, Betty Girton, and Ruby Worley. He is survived by his two loving children, Manuel Cooper, Jr. and Betty Delores; four grandchildren, Jimmy Lee "Tripp" McCann III, Drake McCann, Manuel "Jax" McCann, and Noah McCann; along with other family and friends who all love him and will miss him dearly. Manuel's visitation will be held on Monday and Tuesday, November 6th and 7th, 2023, from 12:00 P. M. - 7:00 P. M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. Gary Hurrell Laughlin, age 70, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. Gary was born in Warren, MI to the late Glenn and Jean Laughlin. Gary enjoyed razorback sports, he had a love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, trains, junking, and corvettes. He was a jack of all trades. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Susan Laughlin; children, Jeremy Laughlin and Carla Justice; his three grandchildren; and siblings, Karen, Sharon, and Greg. He will be greatly missed my family and friends. Services will be 2:00 p. m. Friday, November 3, 2023 at Pinecrest Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. | Carlton "Todd" Rickard was born on December 26th, 1964, and went to be with the Lord on October 31st, 2023. Todd was a special needs child and was loved by everyone. Todd is survived by his mother, Jane Jones; one brother, Kevin Jones; two nieces, Whitney Ives and Victoria Jones; and Lannie Rickard and a lot of special people that loved him. Todd started United Cerebral Palsy when he was 7 years old and went up until shortly before his passing. United Cerebral Palsy became family and his favorite place in the whole world to be was "my school". His favorite thing to have on was a ballcap and a watch that always pointed to 2 o'clock. Todd will be missed by everyone that knew him. The family is thankful for all of the wonderful memories we shared with Toto and felt honored that God allowed him into our lives.
