A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home, 117 West Delaware Street, Tahlequah, Oklahoma 74464. Martha will be laid to rest in Sellers Mission Cemetery, Park Hill, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers are Leroy Hicks, Alvin Hicks, Mike Hicks and Kenny Hicks. James Douglas "Doug" Dodd, 71, of Park Hill, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at his home. Doug was born May 15, 1952, in Bristow, Oklahoma, to Lloyd Darrell and Mary Ethlyn Conder Dodd. He was a 1970 graduate of East Central High School in Tulsa. He attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and graduated from there in 1975. Mr. Dodd was a truckdriver. He was a hard worker who loved the outdoors including fishing and "lake life". He was a proud, long serving member of AA in Tahlequah. Mr. Dodd is survived by his son, Brian Dodd of Raleigh, North Carolina; daughter, Shannon Wheeler of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and his sister, DeeDee Dodd of Edmond, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be private.Show more
