Martha Shuffitt Obituary

Martha Ann Nalley Shuffitt, 79, of Lebanon Junction passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, at her home. She was born on April 17, 1944 in Bullitt County to her parents, Joseph F. and Mary A. Downs Nalley. Martha was a former waitress at the Glasshouse Restaurant and more recently worked in housekeeping at Publishers Printing. She also was a supporter of Relay for Life and would crochet ducks to help them raise money. She enjoyed going to the boat and bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Thomas Shuffitt; daughters, Pamela Alberts and Patricia Ayers; parents and siblings, Richard "Dickie" Nalley, Joey Nalley, Catherine Lamb, Virginia Hiett, Sue Nelson, Mickey Raines, Kaye Davenport and Francis Nalley. Survivors include her daughter, Jody Maynard (Scott); brother, Wayne Nalley (Hope); sisters, Lee Morgan (Chuck), Sheila Henson (Jim) and Becky Drake; grandchildren, Ray Patterson (Rachel), Jolene Hunt, Tiffany Willett (James), Johnathon Maynard (Kayla), Zachary Ayers, and Lance Patterson, who has helped care for her, and sixteen great grandchildren. Services will be 1PM Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Trowbridge Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction with burial to follow in Little Brick Cemetery in Boston. Visitation will be from 3-8PM Wednesday, April 26, 2023, and after 9AM Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of contributions to Relay for Life.
