Martha Lee Cruey, age 83 of North Tazewell, VA passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Lewis Gale-Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg, VA. Born December 30, 1938 in Tazewell, VA she was a daughter of the late Jesse Gratton Wimmer and Stella Lambert Wimmer. She was a member of the Love of Jesus Tabernacle at Adria. She loved her church and loved her family. Martha loved to cook and she cooked for many folks over the years, most recently when she was owner and operator of Kountry Kitchen. She also loved to yard sell, reselling her items. She really enjoyed a "simple life". In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty four years, Curtis Cruey; one daughter, Sheri Dorton; one son, Curtis G. Cruey; one great grandchild, Liyah Nicole Dorton. She is survived by a son, Charlie Cruey of North Tazewell, VA; daughters, Yonna Hurt of Tazewell, VA and Terri Dorton of Pulaski, VA; brothers, Jay Wimmer and wife, Sharon of Tazewell, VA and Ronnie Wimmer and wife, Pat of Dublin, VA; sisters, Eva Simonds and husband, Mike of St. Petersburg, FL, Kathy Culpeper and husband, Bill of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Mary Able and husband, Roy of Bluefield, VA; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 AM Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA with Pastor Mike Davis officiating.
