Marshall Allen Watson, 63, of Appomattox VA, passed away on April 20, 2023. Born in Lynchburg on August 24, 1959, he was the son of the late Erma and Thomas Watson. He served his country proudly as a Navy Veteran from 1977 to 1981. In his time he spent in the Navy he was stationed on the U. S. S Dickson on an island named Diego Garcia. He was awarded the Shellback certificate for going around the world and crossing the equator. After leaving the navy he enjoyed spending his time in carpentry, c onstruction, drawing, and photography. He was talented at seeing the beauty in the little things other people wouldn't notice or have the vision to see. Aside from all the many and different life achievements, by far the greatest achievement was being the most wonderful Father he could be even in the times he didn't have to, he was there with a shoulder to cry on, an ear for when you needed to talk, a bear hug when you felt lonely, always quick with a joke when you needed a smile, and was always the Anchor we needed him to be. Before he passed, he was reconnected with the love of his life Wendy Cash, his Twin Flame. For all of us to have to say goodbye to our dad this early in life is cruel, but we all can agree that he is finally resting in peace and no longer in pain. He was loved by all he leaves behind, but he will not be forgotten for he is with us till the very end, as they say in the navy FAITH, COURAGE, SERVICE TRUE WITH HONOR, OVER HONOR, OVER ALL- Semper Fortis. A celebration of his life will be held at his son, Luke Watson's residence in Appomattox County. Those who wish to attend contact Luke Watson on Messenger. He is survived by his six children Orie Watson, Thomas Ethan Watson, Luke Watson, Whitney Watson, Rebecca Watson, and Christian Watson, along with 11 grandchildren.
