Pat held a Masters Degree in special education. She was employed as a special education teacher at first Chancellor Avenue School and then switching to Regional Day School, both in Newark, for over 35 years. Pat was Godmother and great Aunt to Ava, also great aunt to Ben, Reece, Everett, Nicolas and Victoria and a baby boy on the way. Pat helped care for Mom Sally over the last few years making sure she was warm and safe, Pat was also Mom to her puppy dog Abbey, she also loved her dog Bogart, and cats Mike and Gabby who predeceased her. Pat loved to learn. She was a news junkie, always interested in the most current happenings both locally and globally. She also loved to learn about the latest in political news. Pat also loved anything nautical and would spend hours perusing the antique shops for that one unusual piece. And cooking was one of her favorite pastimes as well. . . she made a mean Sunday gravy. Pat was well traveled having been to Europe twice and Jamaica several times, her last excursion was to Disney World where she witnessed Robert propose to niece Kristina. Pat had the most contagious laugh. . . you couldn't help but laugh just listening to her. . . sadly that laughter dwindled as her illness took a heavier toll on her. . .
