Mark E. Thompson, 68 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Saturday September 9, 2023. Mark was born in Mount Holly, NJ, raised Vincentown, NJ and spent time living in Vincentown, NJ and Surf City, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor, NJ 16 years ago. Mark worked as a carpenter, retiring from the Local Union 255 in 2007 and was a communicant of St Theresa’s Church. He was very proud of being a member of the NJ Department Environmental Protection Division of Fish and Wildlife Saltwater Recreational Registry Program and he very much enjoyed fishing, boating and going to the casinos in Atlantic City. Mark was predeceased by his parents Elton and Blanche Thompson. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Kathleen, daughter Heather and fiancé John of Cherry Hill, NJ, son Eric and wife Kim of Manahawkin, NJ and grandchildren Emily, Lily, Sienna, Luca and Cora. Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 13, 2023 from 4-6pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor NJ. A mass will be held on Thursday September 14, 2023 at 11am at St. Theresa's Church 450 Radio Road Little Egg Harbor NJ. Jeremiah "Jerry" M. Browne, 91 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Tuesday November 28, 2023. Jerry was born in Brooklyn, NY and spent time living in Lakewood, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 2002. Jerry retired as a banker for Bank of New York in NYC and was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church in Little Egg Harbor. He was a member of the Sunrise Bay Bowling League, and he enjoyed golfing and going to Shooters with his friends. Jerry was predeceased by his parents William and Alice Browne, daughter Melissa Ann Browne and his 8 siblings. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Jane of 56 years, son Kevin Browne and wife Theresa of Little Egg Harbor, NJ and grandchildren Trevor, Kylie and Taylor Browne. Levi Horner, 59 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on November 27, 2023. Born in Atlantic City, NJ, Levi spent his entire life living in New Gretna, NJ. Levi was a longliner fisherman on the Gipper in Barnegat Light and a member of St. Paul church. He enjoyed fishing, skiing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, anything on the water, and being out in his workshop. Levi is predeceased by his parents Harry and Sabrina Horner. He is survived by his daughter Melissa Horner and husband Anthony, daughter Anna Horner-Defeo, grandchildren Faith Horner and Tommy Defeo, and the mother of his children Robin. MANZ, W. NANCY, 86 of West Creek, N. J. , went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 18, 2023. She was born in Camden, N. J. She was retired from Ciba-Geigy where she worked as an Administrative Assistant. Nancy was an active member of West Creek United Methodist Church, and enjoyed working with her friends in the Church Thrift Shop. She was an avid quilter and a member of American Quilter Society, also a member of Pieceful Shores Quilter guild. Nancy was predeceased by her husband Robert Manz, mother Alice Lytle, father Albert Lytle, sister Jane Magee, brother-in-law Donald Magee. She is survived by her brother and his wife David and Barbara Lytle, of Florida, her son-in-law George Wallis, her step-daughter Carol Cornelius, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and 4 nieces. Patricia Ann Lane 76 of Tuckerton died November 18, 2023. Born in Newark to Clifford & Cecelia (Cierpisz) Lane, she lived in Newark and Belleville before moving to Tuckerton 8 years ago. Pat held a Masters Degree in special education. She was employed as a special education teacher at first Chancellor Avenue School and then switching to Regional Day School, both in Newark, for over 35 years. Pat was Godmother and great Aunt to Ava, also great aunt to Ben, Reece, Everett, Nicolas and Victoria and a baby boy on the way. Pat helped care for Mom Sally over the last few years making sure she was warm and safe, Pat was also Mom to her puppy dog Abbey, she also loved her dog Bogart, and cats Mike and Gabby who predeceased her. Pat loved to learn. She was a news junkie, always interested in the most current happenings both locally and globally. She also loved to learn about the latest in political news. Pat also loved anything nautical and would spend hours perusing the antique shops for that one unusual piece. And cooking was one of her favorite pastimes as well. . . she made a mean Sunday gravy. Pat was well traveled having been to Europe twice and Jamaica several times, her last excursion was to Disney World where she witnessed Robert propose to niece Kristina. Pat had the most contagious laugh. . . you couldn't help but laugh just listening to her. . . sadly that laughter dwindled as her illness took a heavier toll on her. . . Pat had the biggest heart but don't hurt it. . . and she was stubborn to a fault. Pat is survived by her mother Cecelia Lane and by her sister Joyce Robbins both of Little Egg Harbor, by a brother Clifford Lane Jr. of Nutley, and by four nieces; Kristina & husband Robert, Kimberly & husband Tyler, Brittany & husband Jeff, and Jessica. She is predeceased by her father Clifford Lane Sr. and recently by a brother Robert Lane. Funeral service will be held 1PM Friday at Hancliffe Home for Funerals, 222 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936 followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visiting hours are 11:00AM-1PM Friday. In lieu of flowers donations to the Special Olympics of NJ would be appreciated.Show more

LISK, JUDITH, 72, of Little Egg Harbor, N. J. , passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, after a long illness. She was born in Bayonne, N. J. , residing there until 1973, when she and her husband built their dream home in Little Egg Harbor. She was previously employed by Little Egg Harbor School District and Walmart, but her role as loving and dedicated mother and grandmother was her greatest accomplishment. Judith was known for her giving nature and sense of humor. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and rarely left anyone without a smile on their face. Judith has been reunited in heaven with her husband Rufus Lisk, parents Helen and Andrew Chiselko, and sister Kathleen Rasmussen. She is survived by her beloved daughters Tracy Lisk (Jose Del Valle), of Beachwood, N. J. , and Jessica Lisk-Emeigh (Tom Emeigh), of Little Egg Harbor, N. J. , sister Mary Ann Stencel, of Bayonne, N. J. , and the apple of her eye, granddaughter Sierra Emeigh. Howard J Taylor III. 66 years of age died suddenly on Nov. 16th 2023. Born in Somers Point NJ, he grew up in Ventnor Heights, NJ. He also lived in Ocean City when he first got married before moving to Little Egg Harbor with his wife. He lived in Little Egg Harbor for 39 years. He worked at Lenox China for several years, before he found his favorite job, working at JoMar Corp in Pleasantville, NJ. There he was the Traffic Manager. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed collecting coins and going fishing with his family and friends. Howard was predeceased by his parents, sister Lily Ann, and grandparents George and Sally Martin. She enjoyed Gardening and took a master gardening course at Rutger’s University. She loved dancing and decorating for the seasons and holidays. Lorraine worked as a secretary for Nabisco and was a very generous, caring, thoughtful, giving, and fun-loving woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed reading, cooking, going to lunch with her friends and spending time with her daughter. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents Oscar and Gaetana Marcellino, husband Ernest Wells, nephew Joseph Patrick Marcellino and sister-in-law Joan Marcellino.
