The world has lost a very good man. Mark Beining, 64, passed away unexpectedly on November 30th, 2023. The official cause of death is pneumonia due to covid, but we all believe Mark died of a broken heart after the passing of his beloved daughter, Marissa, this past summer.Mark was born on December 1st, 1958, to Ken and Carol Beining in Appleton. Eugene G. Graham, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 20, 2024. He was born on December 3, 1961 to George and Gertrude Graham in Watertown, Wisconsin. Eugene grew up and attended Neenah High School. Eugene loved hunting and fishing with his brother, Greg, riding his motorcycle and hanging out with his friends in New London. Eugene was never one to follow rules and enjoyed his freedom. He was previously employed at Steel King in New London. Eugene leaves behind his sisters, Phyllis "Toots" (Randy) Waltman of Bluffton SC, Bonnie (Tim) Ellis of Wisconsin Dells WI, Penny Graham of Union Grove WI, Debbie (Mark) Shiels of Cedar Springs MI; and his brother, Greg (Sue List) Graham of Green Bay WI. In addition to his siblings, Eugene is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, and two brothers, Ken Holsworth and Allen Holsworth..A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

He was a mastermind of his own, always coming up with new projects or causing mischief with his friends. He will be survived by: Paula Vanderweilen; daughters: Starr Campbell and Nicole Vanderweilen; grandchildren: Niara, Neziah, Zilliah, Truth, Dontae, Na'Vondre, and Loyality. Our beloved brother, Peter sadly left us and entered the eternal life with God to join his father Peter, mother Mary, and brother Marty. Peter was born in 1958 and left us in 2024. Peter loved spending time with his family and extended family at Agape 7. He was an avid baseball player, participated in the Special Olympics and loved to bowl as well. Peter shared many talents, but his special talent was making people smile. He was always happy and loved giving hugs and kisses. He was the apple in his family’s eyes. Peter touched many lives, especially his friend Betty. Peter will be missed by many, especially his surviving siblings Nancy (Bill) Preston, Harriet (Randy) Eick, Adrian (Jenni) Somers, David (Joy Marcus) Somers, Maria (Bruce White) Somers and Lisa (Eric Bigelow) Hartjes. Peter also loved and will be missed by all his nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Our family would love to extend our gratitude to the staff at Ascension NE Wisconsin- St. Elizabeth Campus for the care they gave Peter during the time he was there. We would also like to thank the VPI Community Day Center and Community Care. We cannot express our appreciation enough for the staff at Agape 7. Their love and care for Peter throughout the years and during his time of passing has meant so much to all of us. Thank you with all our hearts! Funeral Mass for Peter will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish (600 East Kimberly Ave. Kimberly, WI 54136) on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00 am, with visitation time from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery.

Lloyd W. Fude

Today we are sad to announce the passing of a wonderful man. Lloyd W. Fude passed peacefully on January 6, 2024 at the age of 64. His life was shortened by many ailments but those who knew him will remember him for a life lived to the fullest. Lloyd was born to Leonard and Donna Fude on July 27, 1959 in Waupun, WI. Lloyd met his wife Jean on New Years Eve in 1980. They Married on May 9, 1987 and had two beautiful children Alex and Rachel. Lloyd pursued many ventures throughout his life. He attended Waupun High School and went on to graduate from UW Oshkosh with a degree in Business. He used his degree to start and run several businesses, buy and sell real estate and his favorite past time, selling cars. Lloyd was a big man with a larger personality. His presence filled a room and his voice carried weight with everyone he knew. He loved people and made friends everywhere he went. Lloyd will be remembered for his kindness and compassion, along with the love he gave to both his friends and family. He was preceded in death by both his parents and his brother-in-law Jack Larson. He is survived by his wife Jean Fude (nee Haas), and his children Alex (Stefanie) Fude, Rachel Fude, his grandson August, his brother Rick (Deb) Fude, sisters Audrey (Berwyn) Van Buren and Wanda Larson. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. There will be a gathering for family and friends at CROSSROADS Fellowship, 846 E Main Street, Waupun, WI 53963 on Saturday January 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. There will be a memorial service on Saturday at the Crossroads Fellowship at 1:00 PM.

Margaret Swedberg, age 86 of Kimberly, passed away peacefully in the loving company of family on December 27, 2023. The funeral liturgy for Margaret will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2024 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, located at 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna. Father Luke Ferris will officiate and burial will take place in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, January 8 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fargo Funeral Home located at 400 W. Vernon Joseph De Bruin

Vernon "Vern" Joseph De Bruin, 94, of Kimberly, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 after a lengthy struggle with dementia. Vern was born on March 19, 1929 to Frank and Virginia (Huss) De Bruin in Menasha. On August 27, 1949 he was united in marriage to Patricia "Pat" Chew at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Menasha. Vern retired in 1984, after 33 years, with the Prudential Insurance Company, where he attained national recognition as one of the company's top salesmen. After his retirement, he and Pat were active volunteers in many organizations including Al Anon, the Genesis Club, VIOS, the Friends Hotline, drivers for Outagamie County, and they helped to establish an early support organization for family and friends of LGBTQI+ people. Vern was an avid jogger, enjoyed playing tennis, and was active in his Church for many years, the Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and later the St. John United Church of Christ. Vern is survived by his four children; Chris (Randy Shannon) De Bruin, of Grand Junction, CO, Cindi De Bruin, of Appleton, Tom (Cookie) De Bruin, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Tim De Bruin of Appleton, eight grandchildren; Jed, Jesse (Josh), Michael (Yanique), Josh (Becky), Amie (Adam), Sarah (Chuck), Katie (Nathan), and Megan. He is further survived by his great grandchildren; Ollie, Violet, Hazel, Neno, Taj, Isley, Dylan, Taylor, Shamari, Taisean, Janaya, Soleil, Finn, Mallory, and Benjamin, great grandchildren; Riley, Lezra, Tayron, Sariyah, and a Sister Judy (Mike) Zerby of Saint Paul, MN, nieces and nephews; other relatives, neighbors and many friends. Vern was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dick (Yvonne), sister Elaine (Frank) Killian, a beloved son, Paul De Bruin, a grand daughter, Marie Lyn, a great grandchild, Kat Marie, his wife Pat, and special friends Ardelle "Ardie" Petzold, and Rita Cook. The memorial service for Vern will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the STAR OF HOPE CHAPEL in Highland Memorial Park (3131 N Richmond St. Appleton). A time of visitation will be held at 2:30 PM until the time of the service at the Chapel. The family would like to thank all of Vern's caretakers at Care Partners Assisted Living Center in Fox Crossing, his family physician, the St. Croix Hospice staff and others who made his life more comfortable in his final years. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established to benefit a charity of meaning for Vern.

Mark Edward Bates Neenah – Mark Edward Bates, 75, passed away peacefully on December 10th with his loving wife by his side. Our beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, and friend lost his 5-year battle with the ravages of Lewy Body Dementia. Mark was born on April 1st, 1948 (no fooling) in Davenport, IA to Lucille and Donald Bates. The Family later moved to Chilton where Mark graduated Chilton High in 1966. Mark worked in the Sales and Service industry most of his career, but his true passion was restoring Classic cars, whether hot rods or muscle cars. His pride and joy is his ‘63 Chevelle that he had for over 20 years. Mark is survived by his wife Linda, Children Tim Bates, Heather Shy, David (Kate) Pitts, Sara Bartizal and Jarred (Rebekah) Bates. Grandchildren, Riley, Rowan, Dylan and Quinn Bartizal, Vincent Ballinger. Siblings David (Trudy) Bates, Ralph (Theresa) Bates, Carol (Jerry) Hanna, Jeff (Cathy) Bates, Debbie (Kurt) Bushman, Ilo (Tim) Leary, Amy (Lyle) Bangart. Fur Babes Angelo and Gina, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Mark was preceded in death by His Mother and Father Donald and Lucille Bates and Siblings Gordon Bates and Jean Doty. A Celebration of life will take place at The Dome in Neenah, WI on Saturday January 27th from 3p-6p. In lieu of Flowers, donations to the Neenah Animal Shelter or any food pantry would be much appreciated. The Family would like to thank all the Hospice Angels who went out of their way to make sure we had all the support needed during Marks last days. "In my life, I love you more"

Jack Horn

Jack H. Horn passed peacefully in his sleep on December 11th, 2023. He was born June 29th, 1928, in Appleton to Harold and Murial Horn. Jack married Marge Kriegal, the love of his life, on April 14, 1951, and they were married 63 years. Jack worked at Consolidated Papers for 37 years. He proudly served in WWII in the Navy. He loved car shows, woodworking, and enjoyed being busy with his hands. He loved following Marge and her music, and their dancing his whole life. Jack is survived by his son Vernon (Fran) Horn, Diane Horn (Randy Tyler), grandchildren Bruce (Debi) Horn, Kevin Horn, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Jack was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Marjorie, his sister Lois (Chuck) Nelson, sisters-in-law Delores (Kenny) Diener, Lila (Bud) Schlenk, his mother and father-in-law Freida and Paul Kriegal. Per Jack’s request, there will be no funeral service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Theda Care in Neenah and Cherry Meadows Hospice Center for their wonderful care of Jack.
