Marjorie A. White, 70 of East Windsor, passed away, Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Capital Health System at Fuld in Trenton, NJ. Born in Trenton, Marge was a lifelong East Windsor-Cranbury area resident. She graduated from Tufts University, Seton Hall University, and Rutgers University earning her bachelors degree and three master's degrees. Marjorie worked as an Occupational Therapist and went on to work as librarian for Carter Wallace of Cranbury, PSE&G in Newark, and then as librarian at the East Brunswick Public Library. A lifelong communicant of St. Anthony of Padua R. C. Church, Marjorie served as a Eucharistic Minister, an Annulment Advocate, and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians in Hamilton, and former volunteer at Robert Wood John Hospital at Hamilton. Marge loved to cook, travel and garden. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time and having good conversations with friends and family. She enjoyed the company of her two beloved rescue dogs, Bene and Zoe. Marge reveled the challenge of doing her Sunday crossword puzzles, even if she had a love hate relationship with them. She enjoyed reading and writing, and accomplished becoming a published author with her book, "Cordial Cookery. " Margie believed in intentionally living a quality life and will be remembered for having a zest for life. Predeceased by her parents, Raymond J. and Mary E. (Willoughby) White; she is survived by her husband of 35 years, R. Michael Herlihy; her siblings and their spouses, Eileen and William Geoghan, Raymond and Susan White, Clare and Angelo Milioto and Dr. Dennis and Barbara White; her nephews, Robert Geoghan, Timothy Geoghan and Dennis White; and her several great-nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua R. C. Church, Maxwell Avenue and Franklin Street, Hightstown, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Freehold, NJ. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 5:00 p. m. until 7:00 p. m. at the A. S. Cole Son & Co. , 22 North Main Street, Cranbury, NJ.
