Marjorie Howlett Obituary

Marjorie Darlene Howlett, passed away at 84 years old on May 2, 2023, in Shelton Washington. She was comfortable and knew she was loved throughout her last days with many family members, friends and four of her children by her side. She is going to be missed and lovingly remembered by her four children, Jim, Jackie, Carl and his wife Becky, and Tonya and her husband Harold. Her sisters Violet, Vivian, and Delores, and her brother Ralph. As well as her 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and her 3 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by, and now united with her loving husband Danny, son James, son Duanne and son Jake. As well as her mom Francis Smith Edwards, father Harvey Tiller, sister Pamela, brother Claude, and brother Bill. Marjorie was a strong hard-working woman who liked to prove that she could do anything a man could. She was one of the first women to work for Simpson Lumber as a lead at the sort yard. She loved spending time outdoors and gardening. Wherever she lived she made sure that she was surrounded by beautiful flowers. She was lovingly nicknamed Grandma Nut by her grandchildren. They will forever remember the days spent with her. From sitting on the porch and watching the stars, camping outside, to watching her ride around on her scooter with flames on it. She will be missed by many.
