Marjorie Bell, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, went home to be with Jesus peacefully at her residence in Cookeville on October 5, 2023. Born on January 30, 1927, in Iola, KS, to Otto and Nellie Miller Krannich, Marge's life was marked by her loving nature, feisty spirit, and unwavering independence. Marge spent the majority of her life in Tullahoma, TN, where she was a cherished member of the community. She later moved to Cookeville to be closer to her family, who were the center of her world. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Yother (Mike); her granddaughters, Abigail Yother and Bailey Throgmorton (Adam); her son-in-law David Buscher; and her well-loved 60-pound Labradoodle, Juney. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Bell; her daughter, Stephanie Buscher; her sister, Marietta Stevens; and her brother, Pep Krannich. Marge had a passion for life that was evident in her many interests. She was an accomplished china painter, having painted hundreds of beautiful creations. Quilting and needlework were also among Marge's talents. Many of her beautiful pieces will continue to be cherished by those lucky enough to own one. Marge also had a love for antiquing, always on the hunt for unique treasures to add to her collections, even into her 90s (and even without any more room to display them!). She loved to cook, and her family and friends were often the delighted recipients of her goodies. Gardening was a peaceful pastime for Marge, as was bird watching. Marge was known for her spirited, sweet, and witty personality. She was always ready with a quick joke or a kind word, brightening the day of everyone she encountered. Her feisty and independent spirit was admired by all who knew her. One of Marge's greatest joys was watching her granddaughters and teammates play soccer, rarely missing a game. She was their biggest fan, always cheering them on from the sidelines. She loved her family and her Jesus, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
