She always made sure to get her sons to every practice and every game. More times than not, she got to see most games. Joyce loved to read, travel, and solve the daily puzzles. Even though she lived with a couple serious golfers, she used to "play at" golf. It was a great day if she broke 60 in her 9-hole group at Western Hills Country Club. But she held the status of being the first family member to card a 1 as she had her hole-in-one using a driver on #5 at WHCC. She proudly wore a gold "1" around her neck from then on. Joyce was a passionate and accomplished Bridge player and was proud that she held the distinction of being an ACBL ruby life-master. She loved playing Bridge with Alice on Tuesdays and Thursdays and with their Wednesday group. As a resident of the Village at Bayley since 2007, she was a lay distributor, volunteered in the gift shop, and participated in the Life, Learn Program. "Mimi" will mostly be missed by those she loved. Sharing Christmas and summer pool parties with her grandchildren were her best and favorite times, as she sipped her Chardonnay!Visitation Monday, December 11, 2023, at Bayley, 990 Bayley Place Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45233, from 9:30 AM until time of the celebration of The Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.
