Hood, Marion Ruth, age 95 of Russells Point, OH, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband John H. Hood in 2008; parents Sylvia and Emil Triska; and two sisters, Eleanor Fredericy and Elsie Kaiser. Marion is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Kristina Hood; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Steve Sword; five grandchildren, Julie (Grant) Walters, Brian (Jamie) Hood, Christopher Hood, Stephanie (Nick) Lewis, and Brittany (Jaece) Wendling; six great-grandchildren, Corinne, Landon, and Avery Lewis, and Ella, Addyson, and Jaxton Wendling; and several nieces, nephews, and god children. Marion was an active member of St. Mary of the Woods Church in Russells Point. She lived life to the fullest, and especially enjoyed mowing her lawn and having family and friends visit her at the lake. In the words of Marion, "Vsechny vas miluji!" (Love you all!). A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 3-6pm at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. , Dayton. Funeral Service will be the following day, Monday, October 9th, at 10am at the funeral home, followed by a graveside service at 1pm at Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville, OH. Donna Powers, 93, of Russells Point, Ohio passed away Sunday afternoon, August 20, 2023, at her home surrounded by her children. Donna was born on July 6, 1930, a daughter of the late Donald Carsner and Vera Harold Morrison. She married Richard T. "Dick" Powers on March 6, 1948, and he preceded her in death in 2014 after 66 years of marriage. Donna was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dana Carlson, a sister, Phyllis (Ivan) Brooks, and two brothers, Curtis (Martha) Carsner, and Kenny Carsner. Donna is survived by six children, Pam Carlson, Richard Powers, Lynne (Angel) Luna, Randy (Linda) Powers, Jan (Gary) Grandi and Scott (Joanna) Powers, 10 grandchildren, Craig Carlson, Kristen Carlson, Jeff Lawwill, Stacey (Kris) McCarthy, Tonya Lawwill, Korey Grandi, Devin Grandi, Ryan (Sarah) Powers, Tracy (Brad) Wimmer, and Megan Powers, 18 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Donna and Dick became residents of Indian Lake in 1990 after retiring from Kroger's. She was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Russells Point and volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul for 17 years. Donna was an avid sports fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, Reds, and OSU Buckeyes. She enjoyed playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, reading and watching Jeopardy. Her greatest joy was living on the water, hosting family gatherings, and especially, spending time with her grandchildren. Reverend Shawn Landenwitch will begin a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm, noon, Thursday, August 24, 2023, at St. Mary of the Woods Church, 464 Madison Ave, Russells Point with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery. Norman H. Dunlevy, age 80 of Russells Point, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at his home. Norman was born in Dayton, OH on February 2, 1941 to the (late) Carl W. & Grace K. (Marret) Dunlevy; retired from General Motors with 31 years of service; a member of the F & AM, Masonic Lodge #577, West Milton; member of Indian Lake Eagles, Moose, Indian Lake, AMVETS Post #66, Covington; an avid NASCAR fan; also a fan of Ohio State Football and the Cincinnati Bengals; really enjoyed fishing and hunting. Preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Carl "Uncle Bud", Arthur "Sunny", and Jack Dunlevy; and four sisters, Gracie Clark, Phyllis Reisinger, Maxine Fisher, and Katherine Baker. Norman is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sharon L. Smith, 52, of Russells Point, Ohio passed away Friday, March 12, 2021 at 10:51 p.m. at his residence.He was born in Boise, Idaho April 27, 1968, the son of the late Elvin E. and Muriel (Webb) Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew Brian.On September 12, 2009, he married Tricia (Nelson) Smith and she survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Jessica Smith of San Diego and Brianna Smith and a son Ethan Smith, both of Russells Point; a granddaughter, Jaela Ramos; a sister, Michelle (Pete) Moore of Horseshoe Bend, ID; his father and mother in-laws, Mark (Kathy) Nelson of Russells Point and Jim (Brenda) Lamma of Maplewood; sisters-in-law, Shannon (Craig North) Smith, Jessica Haynes, Lindsey (Marcus) Burton, Cassie (Brian) Conley, Katie (Darren) Andrews; brothers-in-law, Ryan Nelson, Scott (Sherrye) Lamma, Josh (Nikki) Griffin and too many nieces and nephews to mention.Elvin was born and raised in Boise, Idaho and always dreamed of moving back there someday. He loved to spend time with his family, doing any activity that was outdoors, loved road trips and building anything he could get his hands on. He worked as a maintenance technician for EMI in Jackson Center. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving his country on the USS Ranger as an ABF from January 1987 until December of 1990.A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine with military honors by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard. ANTHONY LEE "TONY" "BENNY" EVANS, 53, departed this life in Russells Point, surrounded by family on Saturday, May 23, 2020 after a long and courageous two-year battle with cancer. He was born on April 7, 1967 in Piqua, OH, the son of the late David and Karen (Rhoades) Evans. Tony is survived by his children, Charlita Rhoads, Jessica Evans, and Logan Evans all of Russells Point; grandchildren, Alleah Rhoads and Jaxton Sloas; sister, Tammy (Paul) Wiseman of Sidney; uncles, Steve Rhoades of Waverly; aunt, Erma Evans of Sidney; the mother of his children, Brandy Rhoads; lifelong friends, Dave Waner, Kenny Kurdock, and Duston Miller; and special friends, Gary and Nicki Trout of Huntsville. He was preceded in death by uncles, Junior and Richard Evans both of Sidney. Tony Graduated from Piqua High School in 1985 and went on to marry Brandy Rhoads in 1997. They later divorced, realizing it was better to be friends and they raised their children together. Tony was a solid family man and was at every school event he could get to. He never missed a ballgame when he was healthy enough. Tony loved the Ohio State Buckeyes football, Piqua Indians football, and all the sports at Indian Lake Schools, where his children attended. Tony was a natural born athlete playing, football, baseball, golf, bowling, wrestling, and fishing throughout his life. Tony was a hard worker and loyal employee of Polysource for 30 years, serving in various roles and seldom missing work. Tony was above all else a family man dedicated to his kids. His final goals were to take Logan to an Ohio State Football game, and see Jessica graduate, which he did just recently. Tony will be missed by all his family and friends. Pamela Lane "Pam" Wilson, age 54, of Russells Point, Ohio passed away at 10:57 P.M. Thursday, July 25, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Ashland, Kentucky July 28, 1964, to William Ray and Shirley Jane (DeRossett) Kennedy. On March 10, 2007, she married David Wilson and he survives. She is also survived by her four sons, Nathan (Kendra) Justice, Alex Grooms, Kelly Wilson and James Holland; four grandchildren, Anthony Phipps, Kyle Potter, Nevaeh Justice and Brayden Jackson; one sister, Tammy (Ernie) Holycross; one brother, John (Christine) Kennedy; a sister in law, Terri Justice; three special friends, John Skeen, Kim Leugers and Jayma Burkhammer and many numerous nieces and nephews. Pam was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Justice. Pam was 1982 graduate of Ben Logan High School. She furthered her education and obtained her LPN. She worked as a nurse at Lost Creek Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Lima for over sixteen years. Pam loved crafts, gardening and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Universal Home Health & Hospice for all the care Pam received.
