Marion Rita Dunrovich, (nee Myles), 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in Ocean Medical Center, Brick Township, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, Nj on Tuesday, September 12 from 4 to 7 p. m. The funeral will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday, September 13 at 11:00 a. m. then to St. Stephen's Church, Kearny for a Funeral Mass at 12:00 p. m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. 80, died peacefully at home on Friday, November 24, 2023, surrounded by his family. Jim was predeceased by his beautiful and loving wife of more than 56 years, Pamela (Baxter). He was also predeceased by sister Bernadette (Palmisano); brother Francis "Bobby"; and is survived by sister Patricia Crumlish; daughter Tracey O'Neill (Frank), son James (Cathy), and his four cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Sean, Morgan, and Matthew, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jim was a life-long resident of Kearny and he worked for Linden Motor Freight for 30 years. Upon retirement, Jim began a second career with the Kearny Board of Education where he worked for many years and befriended countless school employees from across the district. Jim loved spending time with his family, and was blessed to have many healthy and happy years cheering on his grandkids at various school and sporting events. Mostly, Jim was profoundly proud and grateful to have Pam as his bride. Their love for one another was authentic and rare, and it was truly a gift to behold. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, on Monday, November 27, 2023, from 3:00 until 7:00 pm. All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 9:30 am, then to St. Stephens Church where a 11:30 am Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Born in Isnos, Colombia on November 27, 1956, Amanda was incredibly well-loved and known for her infectious energy, warm smile and open, welcoming arms. Amanda is survived by her loving husband of more than 30 years, Afonso; daughter Edna and son Nicholas; three sisters; four brothers and many other loved ones. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Amanda on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 5:30 - 9 p. m. at Alvarez Memorial Home, located at 684 Kearny Avenue, Kearny, NJ 07032. Richard J. Goskowski, 81, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 11, 2023 surrounded by his family while last rites were being administered. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Friday, November 17 from 4 to 8 p. m. The funeral will begin in the funeral home on Saturday morning at 9:00 a. m. then to St. Stephen's R. C. Church where a 10:00 a. m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Cremation will be private. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, Richard moved to Kearny in 1960. He served his country in the United States Army from 1964 until 1966. Mr. Goskowski worked in the Kearny Shop Rite for 46 years and served as Produce Manager before retiring in 2008. Richard had a passion for the weather, especially snow and became very accurate at tracking and predicting snowstorms. He was also an avid New Jersey Devil hockey fan. He is survived by his wife, Anne (nee Reigle) Goskowski, two daughters, Joy Goskowski and her fiance, Domingo Armental, Karen Porter and her husband, Shannon and one son, Robert Goskowski. One brother, Ronald Goskowski and his wife Mary Jean and four grandchildren, Steven Bradley and Matthew Udis , and Emily and Michael Porter and three nephews, Adam, Paul and Darren Goskowski. Norah (Nonie) McDermott, (nee Kane), 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Sunday, November 12 from 1 to 5 p. m. The funeral will begin in the funeral home on Monday morning at 8:45 a. m. then to Queen of Peace R. C. Church, North Arlington, NJ for a 9:45 a. m. Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ Born in Renvyle By The Sea, County Galway, Ireland, Norah immigrated to the United States in 1950 and lived in Boston, MA. She later moved to Kearny in 1961 and lived there for 40 years before moving to Toms River, NJ. Soon after, she would go on spending time with each of her children in their homes and enjoying each family, which she thoroughly enjoyed sharing her memories about Ireland, family and life. Some of her favorite past times is sitting by a fire, reading her favorite books and her love for horse racing while following her two son's careers in Harness Racing. She worked for the NJ Meadowlands Commission for seventeen years before retiring in 1997 and was a member of the St. Brendan's Gaelic Football Club in Kearny. Norah is survived by two daughters, Maureen Hansen (John), and Eileen Armitage (Ernest), two sons, John McDermott (Nancy) and Kevin McDermott (Sheri), two sisters, Kathleen Stewart and Madeline Nikoras. She was the beloved grandmother of Shannon, John, Jr. , Kane, Ernest, Keely, Eilish, Caitlin, Mary, Liam, Kyla and Jessica and great-grandmother of Emily Norah.
