Melvin "Carlos" Browning Jr. went home to see Jesus on October 27th, 2023, surrounded by his wife and sons. His transition to Paradise was supported by Hosparus Health at home and we as a family will be forever grateful for their help. Carlos was born September 5th, 1941, and "Tacker" (as he was known) as a child was spoiled rotten. His childhood was divided between Valley Station and the back woods of Ohio County. He graduated from Valley high school and was a proud member of the choir and football team. He graduated from Lincoln College with a Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine. The bulk of his work life was spent at Ford Motor Company working a total of 37 years in Maintenance Engineering. Carlos enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and Scuba diving. Working on his '79 Mustang with his son, and most of all spending time with his family on the beach. His boys always looked forward to "stay home days", getting to play hooky from school for adventures. Whether it was roller skating, Waffle House or visiting family members in the country, the boys enjoyed every second with their dad. He was warmly known as "Papaw B" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He lives on as a giant in the eyes of all who recognize the Browning name. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Reason Johnson and Melvin Carlos Browning Sr. and sister, Jaunita Jo Browning. He is survived by his wife Teresa Miller Browning, Sons: Chris Browning (Kim), Kelly Browning, Kerry Browning (Kenna), Brad Browning (Mary).
