Marie Hyde Obituary

Marie C. Hyde, 83, of Tunbridge, Vt. died April 17th, 2023 at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon NH, surrounded by loved ones. Marie was born on February 1, 1940 in Batavia NY to Leon and Elthea (Ball) Clark. She was raised by Merrit and Jane Clark of East Bethel Vt. She attended Bethel schools and graduated from Whitcomb High School. Marie married Edward Hyde on February 7th, 1959 in East Bethel. Edward and Marie then raised their family and lived the rest of their lives in Tunbridge Vt. Marie worked at Merrimaids in Randolph for many years. Although she had other jobs, Edward and Marie owned and operated the local liquor store for years. Marie's family was the most important thing to her. She also loved gardening, camping, cooking and family/friends get togethers (corn roast etc). She also decorated many beautiful cakes. Marie is survived by her children: Philip, Jeffrey, Paul (Brenda), Jane (Tim), Lynn (Steve). Her grandchildren; Monique, Paul (Kaleena), Caroline (Deven), Crystal, Danielle, Sonja, Devin (Geneva), Ryan, Stephanie, Elsa, Emily T. Her great grandchildren; Kayden, Nevaeh, Jesse L, Max, Davon, Chris, Zadyn, Jaidlyn, Kaeson, Kodah, Jesse R, Skylar, Eric, Emily G. Marie is predeceased by her husband, Edward, daughter Terry and daughter in law Bonnie and many other family and friends. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 4-6 pm and a memorial service will be on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 10:30 am both at Day Funeral Home in Randolph.
