Marie Davison Obituary

"Marie E. (Rogers) Davison was born January 29, 1929 in Crescent, Oklahoma to James C. and Lola M. (Chambers) Rogers. She passed away October 2, 2023 in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years, 8 months, and 3 days. Marie graduated from Crescent High School in 1947 as class Valedictorian. After graduation Marie continued her education at Oklahoma State University and finished her education at the Stillwater School of Business. Marie married Bobby Lee Davison on July 30, 1948. Bobby and Marie made their home in the Crescent area, where he was a longtime farmer and she pursued a career in the banking business. Marie worked several years at First State Bank in Guthrie, with the majority of her career spent as a Vice President of the Bank of Crescent. Marie was a member of the Eastern Star and was an active member of the Crescent First Baptist Church. Marie moved to Owasso, OK, a suburb of Tulsa, where she and Bobby made their home in the Owasso Baptist Village. Marie was very active at the Baptist Village participating in many activities and working in the Village store. Marie loved visiting her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and she enjoyed church, reading, and social gatherings with her friends. Until her death, Marie was an active member at Central Baptist Church and her Sunday School class in Owasso, OK. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby and her parents, James C. and Lola M. Rogers. Survivors include two sons, Dennis L. Davison and wife Cookie and Donnie L. Davison and wife Stephanie; four grandchildren, Trisha Schweitzer and husband David, Jennifer Enochs and husband Charles, Jeffrey Davison and wife Lindy, and Christopher Davison; nine great grandchildren, Mariah Davison, Cameron Neighbors, Isabella Schweitzer, Jace Schweitzer, Addison Schroeder, Austin Schroeder, Wyatt Enochs, Lyla Enochs, and Nolan Davison. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday October 5, 2023 at the Central Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Noah McCormick and Pastor Christopher Davison officiating. Services are under the direction of Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Gravesite services will be 11:00 AM Friday October 6, 2023 at the Crescent Cemetery.
