Marie Delores Cerwin (Farino), age 89, of Algonquin, Illinois, finished her journey in Barrington, Illinois on December 26, 2022. Born in Chicago on April 1, 1933 to Attilio and Lucy (Larusso) Farino, she was the youngest of five children. She married the love of her life, Frank, on July 11, 1953 at St. Mary of Celle Catholic Church in Berwyn, Illinois. Marie loved gardening, cooking, decorating, and entertaining family and friends. She was hard-working and was proud of being recognized as one of Marshall Field's Finest. Marie will always be remembered for her selfless love. She is survived by her beloved husband, Francis G. Cerwin; her loving children, Frank (Valerie) Cerwin, Donna (P. Kevin) Wilson, and Judith (Lawrence) McNally; her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Taylor, Bradley (Brittany) Cerwin, Paul (Ezgi) Wilson, Katie (Trevor) Wilson, Kailey McNally and Kyle McNally; her adored great-grandchildren, Evan and Ethan Taylor, Ainsley and Reid Cerwin and Chloe Wilson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings Marie Farino, Rose Carroll, Lawrence Farino, and Philip Farino. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 1415 W. Algonquin Rd. , (one mile west of Rt. 31. ) Algonquin. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 with prayers beginning at 10:00 AM from the funeral home chapel and proceed to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in West Dundee for Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment River Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee would be appreciated.
