Marian "Ruth" Wolpink, 77 of Newell, PA, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 11, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born on October 14,, 1945, in Amity, PA, daughter of Hester and Lawrence Bird. Ruth was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church. Always a lover of animals, she found joy being in their company and gave many dogs their furever home. She found beauty in butterflies and a connection with donkeys, collecting Eeyores throughout her years. She enjoyed accompanying her husband on motorcycle rides and relaxing together at camp. Moreover, she loved and cherished every moment she had with her family and friends, always sending them reminders of her love. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, George Wolpink; daughters, Lisa (Fred) Doerzbacher, Patricia (Daniel) Lamb, and Debbie Wolpink; her grandchildren, Chelsea McCune, Josh Latal, and Ryan Zemba; sisters, Carol Kennedy and Nancy Skiles; and fur baby Shiloh. She was proceeded in death by her parents; and sisters, Jane Bigler and Janice Guthrie. Robert Staley, 91 of Newell, PA, passed away peacefully Friday, July 21, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 2, 1932 in Centerville, PA, son of Robert L Staley and Josephine Deregi Staley. Robert was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, Pa. and was retired from Allied Chemical Plant in Newell, where he was a production supervisor. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Frances "Tootsie" Staley, daughter, Rochelle Acklin and husband Ted of Newell, son, Robert Staley and wife Tina of Newell; two brothers, Charles Staley and Jack Staley; grandson, Jeremy Staley and wife Jen, granddaughter, Dina Acklin, grandson, Derek Staley, granddaughter, Carley Robinson and husband Scott, grandson, Robert Staley; great-granddaughter, Keira Staley, two great-grandsons, Owen Robinson and Cy Robinson. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Albert L Staley; two sisters, Susan Solana and Barbara Herre and brother Otis Staley. William Novak Jr, 95 of Newell, PA, passed away Thursday January 12, 2023 at his home. William 'Bill' Novak Jr was born in Centerville, Washington County, PA on May 28, 1927. His parents were William Novak and Julia Mazzella Novak. He was raised and educated in Brownsville, Pa. Upon Graduation from Brownsville High School, Class of 1945, he entered service in the US Navy through the conclusion of World War II. After the war he was employed by P&LE RR, working as a Signalman and later as Conductor. Bill also worked at Allied Chemical Corp. Newell Plant as an Electrician and Instrument Technician until his retirement. Bills' interests and passions were many. Truly a 'Jack of all Trades' and Master of some. Hunting, fishing, oil painting, woodworking, were a few of many pursuits. His greatest passion, second only to his family, was music. He played Piano and Accordion throughout his life. He also taught himself to play Bass Fiddle and Hawaiian Steel Guitar. He instilled many of those passions in his children as he and his wife Carolyn raised them. There was always music to be heard from the Novak house. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years Mary Carolyn Diederich Novak. His parents William Novak and Julia Novak and brothers Daniel Lee Novak, and David Paul Novak. He is survived by children, William (Ron) Novak and wife Donna, Donald Novak, Kerry Novak, David Novak and wife Susan, Christopher Novak, Valerie Gallo and husband Mario; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Novak, Donald Novak, Heather Ekiert, Jeremy Novak, Shawn Novak, Adam Novak, Amber Novak, Evan Novak, Jordan Novak, Gino Gallo; nine great-grandchildren, Jayden Wall, Kallyn Novak, Ethan Ekiert, Gavin Ekiert, Landen Ekiert, Isaiah Novak, Urijah Novak, Brynn Ely, Alivia Bashur. Mary C Novak, 93 of Newell, PA, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 16, 1929 in Jefferson Township, PA, daughter of Fred C Diederich and Verna Cunningham Deiderich. Mary Carolyn Novak's greatest joy in life, aside from her family, was creating wonderful holiday feasts and special occasion meals. An excellent cook and baker most widely known for her cookies and pastries that she shared with all who visited her home from her Pastor to the local delivery drivers. As a young farm girl she knew hard work. She loved the outdoors. Climbing trees and ice skating on the family pond brought her joy. She was a loving mother who raised six children with devotion. While raising her family Carolyn also worked as a Nurses Aide at Brownsville General Hospital for over 29 years and was known for her compassion and caring ways. Carolyn was married to her loving husband Bill and they were blessed with sharing 73 years of life together. She will be loved and remembered forever.
