Celeste Margaret Rak nee Kotulski, 69, longtime resident of the Edgebrook Community, Chicago, IL passed on November 26, 2023. Beloved wife of Tenzing Gelek Gemo devoted daughter to her late parents, Pearl and Stanley Kotulski; Predeceased by her first husband, Gary Rak, her high school sweetheart; Loving siblings, Annmarie (Mark) Gesualdo, Geraldine Weaver, the late Eugene Kotulski, David (Cindy Bastian) Kotulski; cherished aunt and great aunt to many. Celeste enjoyed the art of cooking, entertaining family and friends with class and elegance. Celeste loved to travel and photograph the beauty of nature; she hiked and skied the mountains of Colorado, most especially Aspen, Snowmass and Maroon Bells developing long lasting relationships wherever she traveled. Celeste's successful medical sales representative career spanned over 30 years. Her clients and coworkers from her medical equipment and supplies sales career became her cherished friends. She saw humor in many situations retelling stories entertaining family and friends. She will be deeply missed. A celebration of life will be held at a later date not determined. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, ILDear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,We come together with open hearts and a sense of urgency to support ou beloved friend, Celeste Rak, in her courageous battle against cancer. Celeste has shown incredible strength, resilience, and grace throughout her treatment. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread, and her healthcare providers have recommended specialized care to address the complexities of her condition. Celeste and her husband, Geshe Tenzin Gelek, have been a glowing example of what it means to support one another in a loving relationship. Together, they have faced the challenges of Celeste's illness with a determination that inspires everyone around them. Now, we find ourselves at a critical juncture where Celeste's journey requires the resources and expertise of a specialized care. This is where we, as a community, can make a significant impact. Our goal is to raise funds to help cover the costs associated with the specialized care that Celeste urgently needs. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. Zbigniew JasinskiNovember 12, 1956 - November 28, 2023Zbigniew Jasinski, fondly known as Ziggy, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Born in Ziembice, Poland, to Bronislawa and Marceli Jasinski, Zbigniew grew up on the family farmland in Niedzwiednik with his brother Zdzislaw. It was here he met his lifelong love, Grazyna. After moving to the United States in the early 1980s, Zbigniew and Grazyna raised their two children, Marceli and Jessica, in a home filled with love and laughter. Zbigniew was a hardworking man, dedicating over 25 years to his job at 900 N Michigan, where his humor and strong work ethic made him a beloved figure. For six years, Zbigniew bravely fought cancer, showing remarkable strength and positivity. A significant source of his courage was his deep bond with his grandson, Hunter. Hunter was the light of Ziggy's life; their special connection brought him immense joy and purpose, especially during the challenging times of his illness. Zbigniew's love for his family was boundless. He tirelessly worked to provide a bright future for his children and took immense pride in them. This love extended to his son-in-law Thomas, daughter-in-law Suzette, and his adored pets, Kent and Sam. In his life, Zbigniew enjoyed simple pleasures. He had a passion for gardening, bike riding, and playing solitaire. A sports enthusiast, he loved hockey and soccer, often sharing this love with those around him. Zbigniew leaves behind a legacy of resilience, love, and a warm spirit that touched everyone he met. His memory will continue to inspire and live in the hearts of those who knew him.Show more
