Maria Marinella, 55, of Mount Laurel, formerly of Marlton, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2023, at Virtua Hospital in Marlton, NJ. Born on August 27, 1968, in Philadelphia, PA, Maria was a beacon of love, friendship, and thoughtfulness to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Maria was predeceased by her parents, Charles L. and Bee Brendley. She is survived by her devoted husband, John Marinella, III, and their two beautiful daughters, Gina Slocum (Michael) and Alaina Marinella. Her greatest joy came from her cherished granddaughter, Cecilia Rose Slocum, who was the apple of her eye. Maria's life was a testament to her deep love for her family. She was the heart and soul of her home, always putting her family first and ensuring their happiness was her top priority. Her love extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of many friends and relatives who were fortunate enough to know her. Maria's passion for life was evident in her love for dancing and music. A true beach lover, Maria found peace and tranquility by the sea. Maria was a woman of great strength, resilience, and grace. Her friendly nature and thoughtful demeanor made her a beloved figure in her community. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and believed in the power of kindness. Her legacy of love, friendship, and thoughtfulness will live on in the hearts of those she touched. A visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Route 73 South at Evesham Rd, Marlton, NJ 08053. William J. Riches, Jr. , known affectionately as Bill, passed away peacefully on December 1,2023, at the age of 94, in Marlton, NJ. Born on April 12, 1929, in Philadelphia, PA, Bill's lifewas marked by his spirited nature, loving heart, and unwavering kindness. Bill honorably served his country in the US Air Force from 1948 to 1952, a period that helpedshape the man he would become. He carried the discipline and commitment he learned in themilitary throughout his life, particularly into his career as a mechanical designer at MeridianEngineering, where he contributed many years of dedicated service. His passion for the sea and community service was evident in his 35-year involvement withthe Coast Guard Auxiliary. Bill shared his love of sailing by teaching at Rancocas ValleyRegional High School and Lenape High School, inspiring many young minds to take to thewater and navigate life with confidence and skill. A man of faith, Bill was a Charter Member of St. Joan of Arc Church. He served as a Trusteefrom 1987-2019, took an active role as a Eucharistic Minister, lecturer, and weekly collectioncounter. His commitment to his church community was further demonstrated through hisparticipation in the Church Carnival, where he built the booths, dunk tank and bicycle racks,contributing to the joy and fellowship of the parish. During the years his children were growing up, Bill was involved in the Boy Scouts, guidingyoung individuals to develop leadership and life skills. In 1968, Bill received the Timmy Awardin recognition for his superior service to the Unami District of the Boy Scouts of America. In his leisure, Bill found joy in sailing the open waters and indulging in his hobby of collectingmodel airplanes. Bill's love for his family was the cornerstone of his existence. He was a beacon of love andstability for his children, Bill Riches, III (Barbara), Mary Annis Wajda (Dave), Jim Riches(Sharon), Mark Riches (Elaine), John Riches (Anita), Tom Riches (Terri), and Matt Riches(Mary). His legacy continues through his 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, whowill carry forward the lessons and love he imparted. Bill is also survived by his sister-in-law,Inge Riches, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss his presence dearly. Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife, Annis M. Riches, his brothers, Don Riches and BobRiches, and his sister-in-law, Christina Riches. His family takes comfort in knowing that he hasbeen reunited with them in eternal peace. Christine T. Oswald, a beloved teacher, talented singer, and cherished family member, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023, in Shamong, NJ at the age of 66. Christine was a proud mother and role model to her daughter Brooke Ashley Lombardo (Andrew Pellegrino). Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Christine was the daughter of Norma T. Campana and the late Anthony J. Oswald Sr. She was a devoted sister to Anthony J. Oswald Jr. (Susan), Dr. Stephen F. Oswald (Lisa), Roseanne Farmer (Jim), Chickie M. Oswald, Dr. Christopher "Tiger" Oswald, Peter G. Oswald (Natasha), and the late Michael J. Oswald. Christine loved and will also be deeply missed by many loving nieces, nephews, step-siblings, cousins, many cherished friends and a very special family friend of Juliana Branca (Michael). Christine grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ. She attended Saint Peter Celestine for grade school and later Cherry Hill West. Christine's drive and passion for music led her to be the lead singer in 27 bands and orchestras that toured all throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Las Vegas which led her to meet her late husband Frank Lombardo, Brooke's father, where they had a wonderful life in Shamong, NJ. Her continued passion for music eventually brought her to be a choir singer at Holy Eucharist Church. After completing her bachelor's degree at Rowan University, Christine became an educator and worked at Hampton Academy where she not only provided a supportive academic environment for her students but made many life long friends. Her love for music was infectious, and she brought joy to many with her beautiful voice and heart. Christine T. Oswald will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her life was a beautiful melody, filled with love, kindness, and music. WALLACE, John C. , passed away on November 28, 2023, surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was 76. Mr. Wallace was raised in Palmyra where he grew up playing football and basketball and developed his love for competing and watching sports. He and his wife of 56 years, Joyce, married and raised their daughters in Marlton. He was actively involved in his daughters' endeavors and worked hard to provide for his family. He retired as Vice President of I. Goldberg and went on to enjoy retirement and being the #1 Fan of his grandchildren. He did not miss a game, a match or a meet of theirs. He enjoyed food and cooking for his family. He brought them together around the table for Sunday dinners, Crab Fest, Limoncello and great card playing. He liked to fish, boat and camp, taking amazing trips across the country. His favorite trip was to Italy with Joyce. and loved animals. The OG Girl Dad will always be remembered for having the answers to all his girls' questions, even up until the very end. He will be dearly missed, but perhaps someone else in the Wallace family will now have a chance at being the Family Fantasy Football Champ. He loved animals, his life and his friendships he made along the way. The real loves of his life were his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce M. Wallace (nee DiRenzo) and his loving daughters and sons in law, Renee and Carmen Pontelandolfo, Marlo and Frank Hesson, Alexis and Chris Dillich and Blake and John Gavlick. He is the dearly loved Poppy of Brielle, Maitland and Cooper Pontelandolfo, Brody and Zane Dillich and Gracie and Thea Gavlick. John is also lovingly survived by his sisters in law and brothers in law; Janet and Jim Gallagher and Christine and Bob Harris and their families. Foulk, Marvin L. 'Tic' passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 21, 2023. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patsy Foulk. Tic was born and raised in Marlton. He and his wife moved to Erial and raised their family there. He worked at Atlas Building Systems (formerly Camden Lime) for 35 years, retiring as General Superintendent. Tic and Patsy enjoyed retirement in Venice FL where they golfed and Tic enjoyed the dog and horse racing. He was a devout Eagles and Phillies fan. Most of all, Tic loved to be with his friends and family. It didn't matter where they were, New Jersey, Florida, beach, boat or farm, the Foulk family enjoyed being together. If family is your legacy, Tic Foulk leaves behind a wonderful one; he is the beloved husband of the late Patricia A. Foulk (nee Briggs). Loving father of Dawn M. Foulk, Layne B. Samson T. ChenVoorhees, NJSamson T. Chen passed away on November 19, 2023. He was 83 years old. Samson was born on October 24, 1940 in Shengyang, China to the late Kuowayne and Yao Yu Zen Chen. He was one of six siblings: Rebecca, David, Peter, Daniel, and John. He was the loving husband of Julie L. Chen, father to Alan C. Chen and spouse Marcella T. Chen, and grandfather to two beautiful granddaughters, Alana and Giuliana Chen. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Tuesday November 28th from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd. , Marlton, NJ. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM. A Private Interment will take place at a later date. Samson was a hard-working man filled with many hopes and dreams for those he loved. He began his career as a Merchant Marine. Shortly after, he became the Captain of his very own ship. During this time Samson was introduced to his loving wife, Julie L. Chen. Together they grew their family with the birth of their sons Alan and Charlie(deceased). Samson resigned as the Captain of the Merchant Marine and with Julie moved their family to the United States of America. It was 1976 when Samson, Julie, Alan, and Charlie flew to the U. S. Upon their arrival, they lived in a small apartment in Delran, NJ. Samson worked as a waiter and chef for various restaurants. With little resources, he persevered through challenging times to establish and acclimate his family to their new home. In 1979, Samson and Julie were able to purchase their first new home in Marlton, NJ. It was here that they raised their family and embraced the customs and traditions of the United States. Nearly six years later, in 1982, Samson Chen, an immigrant from China, opened his very own restaurant, China Woks, in Hamilton Square, NJ. He had accomplished one dream that many native Americans have, owning a business. Samson continued working hard and making sacrifices, but only this time, his examples touched not only his family and friends, but the community in which his business was established. Soon after, the Chen Family bought another home and moved to Hamilton Square, NJ. Samson continued his business, China Woks, up until 2007, when he and Julie decided to retire and move back to Marlton, NJ. For new hopes and dreams were unveiled, as he was not just a husband, father, and business owner, but father-in-law and grandfather. Samson's entire world had changed. His smiles were often, his laughter was contagious, and his joy in loving "his girls," was known by all. To Samson, family was everything. After graduating from Cherokee High School Frank joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 351 where he worked until he retired. Frank was an avid outdoorsman. Elsie Janet Riley passed away peacefully at home on November 16, 2023. She was 95 years old. Elsie and her husband Howard raised their family in Cherry Hill, NJ. Through the years she was employed by RCA, Campbell Soup Company and Deluxe Check Printers. They later retired to Leisuretown in Southampton, NJ. They attended Red Lion Faith Chapel, where she became a devoted member. Elsie was multi-talented with a passion for baking and sewing, known for her love of God, generous spirit, kind heart, and unwavering loyalty to her family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Howard, she was the loving mother of David H. Riley (Cynthia), Brian F. Riley (Bernadette), Carol A. Rosati (Rick) and Paul H. Riley (Cathy).
