"With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Cruz Villarreal, on Friday November 17, 2023, at the age of 85, in his residence in Alto Bonito, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Cruz was our dearly loved husband, father, son, brother, nephew, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by his beloved family and close friends. Cruz was born on May 03, 1938, in Chine, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Jose Villarreal and Loreto Sarmiento. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Villarreal\u0026#43; and Loreto Sarmiento\u0026#43;. Cruz leaves behind his loving wife, Maria Dolores Villarreal and his loving children, Yolanda Villarreal, Mirtala Villarreal, Cruz Villarreal Jr. , and Minerva Villarreal, Alejandro Villarreal. Survivors also include his 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grand-children, also by his brother, Roberto Villarreal, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom he loved dearly. The Villarreal family invites you to join them in a celebration of faith in remembrance of his life. The family will receive friends and family on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. The recital of the service will begin at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm followed by a chapel service at 11:00 am. Follow Burial at Los Solis's Cemetery in La Grulla at 12:30 pm. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City. "Show more
