He was born on February 27,1966 in Baton Rouge, LA. Gary proudly graduated from L.S.U. Gary had a successful career designing top secret defense systems that kept Americans safe!He was preceded in death by his father Adam Lanehart, mother Lorraine Lanehart, sister Nancy Blanchard and brother John Lanehart. Gary is survived by his wife of 28 wonderful years Laurie and his daughter Amber. Gary is also survived by his sister Della Lanehart and brother Brad Lanehart. Gary is also survived by many friends that he considered family. We cannot forget to mention Gary’s beloved pet dog “Chip” a Maltipoo who still reigns terror on the household!Gary will be cremated at Williams Funeral Home in Garland, Texas. Gary’s wife Laurie is organizing a public memorial on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Jeffrey "Jeff" Allan Blackmon, 66, of Garland, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on February 11, 2024. Jeff was born on January 3, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, to Dewey Blackmon and Natalie (Taylor) Blackmon. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1976 and went on to have a successful career, starting in medical supplies sales and later becoming a respected produce buyer.In 1978, Jeff met Rosanne (LaBarba), the love of his life, through Rosanne's younger brother. They were married on February 13, 1981, after a whirlwind romance, and their bond remained unbreakable until his passing. Jeff and Rosanne were blessed with two children, Christopher Michael and Stefanie Diane. One of Jeff's greatest joys was escorting Stefanie down the aisle October 13, 2023 at her wedding to his new son-in-law, Max Jaissle.Jeff cherished his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. His granddaughters, Emma and Remi, brought him endless joy, and he treasured the title of "grandpa." An avid sports fan, Jeff passionately supported all Dallas teams, from the Cowboys to the Mavericks, Rangers, and Stars. Throughout his life, Jeff formed strong bonds with his many canine companions and was known for his “dad jokes”, quick wit, friendly demeanor, and willingness to lend a helping hand.Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Natalie, and his father, Dewey. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years , Rosanne Blackmon; children, Christopher (Whitney Warren) Blackmon and Stefanie (Max) Jaissle; granddaughters, Emma Blackmon and Remi Blackmon; sister, Patricia Blackmon; and niece, Amanda Yatchak.Jeff's sudden passing has left his family and friends deeply saddened. A memorial service will be held in the spring to celebrate Jeff's life, and details will be shared with loved ones. Jeff will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family.

Juanita Johnson McGilvray went to be with her Lord on February 16, 2024. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born Juanita Johnson on October 17, 1937, in Houston to Mazie and Alvin Johnson. She spent her formative years in Conroe, Texas graduating from Conroe High School in 1956. It was in Conroe at Travis Junior High that she met her future husband and soulmate, Troy Ellis McGilvray. She and Troy celebrated a wonderful love story and marriage that lasted for 66 years. Juanita was active in both music and sports at a young age and those carried on into her adult years, especially her love of music. Her love for the Lord kept her active in church, volunteering and being surrounded by friends. After moving to Garland in 1965 she faithfully attended Calvary Baptist Church in Garland and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Garland in her later years. Always an avid reader, Juanita’s thirst for knowledge and desire to learn new things continued throughout her whole life. She was an extremely devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. To those who knew her and loved her there was no one more loyal to have on your side in times of need. Juanita is survived by her husband Troy, her daughter Leslie Bales and husband Eddy of The Colony, Texas, and son Stuart McGilvray and his wife Tammie of Lake Worth, Florida. She also has two grandchildren, Kelsey Cruz, her husband Jordan, and Nathan Kreatschman. She is also survived by her sister, Wanda Wiggins, as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Mazie Johnson and her daughter Susan. Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Garland at 9:00 AM on Thursday, February 22 with services to follow at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at 3:30 PM at Arnold Cemetery in Alto, Texas.
