Gary D. Wilde was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on September 26, 1945 and passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on December 6, 2023 in Clovis, California. He moved to CA at the age of 9 and graduated from Orange High School. After high school he relocated to Morro Bay and joined the Coast Guard in 1963. He was stationed in San Francisco at the end of Treasure Island on the USS Comanche. On New Year's Eve 1968, he started what would turn out to be a 'Wilde' 31 year career as a police officer for the city of San Luis Obispo, CA. His career titles included Detective, FTO and Public Liaison Officer between the Police Department & Fire Department since he loved to 'fan' the rivalry between the 2 agencies. One summer the FD officially nicknamed him 'Wilde Fire' due to his famous flare patterns and series of unintentional 'fire events'. Gary nurtured many friendships in his career and was widely known for his sense of humor and practical jokes. By the time he retired he held the record for the longest pursuit in the department. He was pretty proud of that. Gary was an amazing father to his daughter, Christie. They shared a special bond and made many memories together. In 2000, he married his best friend and love of his life, Beth. With that marriage came two bonus daughters, Ayla & Alise. They shared 25 years of 'Wilde Adventures' together. Throughout his life he loved to BBQ and even made his own BBQ sauce that has been enjoyed all over the United States. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his many jokes, his love of food, his honesty, integrity, dedication to family and lifetime of adventures and fun. A Celebration of Life will be held later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Gary's name to American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the donor's charity of choice.Show more

Lemuel Majam

Lemuel Majam

Age - 77

December 1, 2023

Lemuel Lucelo Majam, age 77, joined his creator on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. He was born in Carigara, Leyte, Philippines, April 3, 1946 to Crisanto and Isabel (Lucelo) Majam. Lemuel enjoyed the best of both worlds, with established ties in Fresno, California and re-established ties with friends and family in the Philippines near his most recent overseas hometown of Taytay, Rizal. In his younger days, Lemuel had varied interests, including but not limited to playing the guitar, chess, fixing cars, and martial arts. Lemuel taught karate to high school and college students as well as instructed the local police department in his province of Leyte on self-defense. For many years, Lemuel owned an automotive body shop in Quezon City, Philippines. He was also a long-term, hard-working employee at St. Agnes Hospital in Fresno, California, where he retired after 22 years of service. As a young man, Lemuel had a heart for charitable causes and in connection with this he provided second-hand eyeglasses to elderly folks in a remote island in the Philippines. Even in his later years, he continued to show compassion and generosity to folks typically taken for granted, celebrating his most recent birthday by distributing food to laborers he befriended in Taytay. He is fondly called by many who know him as "Tatay," meaning father. His full life reflected love, faith, courage, hard work, goodness, humbleness, and positivity. Lemuel was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle (second dad to many of his nephews and nieces), and friend. He is loved by many. Lemuel is survived by his wife Carmen Canamales Majam, his son Lemuel Canamales Majam Jr. , his daughter Eunice Majam-Simpson (son-in-law, Kenneth R. Simpson), and sister Rebecca Majam Belfry. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and a sister. Lemuel's physical presence will be greatly missed but his legacy lives on, and so we celebrate his life, his faith, and his love for those around him. With many relatives and friends in different parts of the world, Lemuel's memorial and celebration of life will be virtual via a video collage to be announced at a later dateShow more
