Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, at McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home, 11924 E 47th st. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, MO. Beverly was born April 20th, 1937, in Ray County, MO, to Newell and Emma (Barker) Keller. She worked for 25 years in manufacturing. She was preceded by her parents and husband, David Keller, a grandson, Sean Keller, and a granddaughter, Jackie Treccariche. She leaves her children, Teri Treccariche and David Steven Keller; brother, Harry Keller, Jr.; five grandchildren, Jodi Jaggers, Phillip Keller, Megan (Sean) Keller, Chris Keller and Miranda Dulin; two special great grandchildren, Christyan Jaggers and Dominique Jaggers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beverly's honor to Kansas City Hospice House at 12000 Wornall Drive, Kansas City, M0. 64145 .

Mrs. Donna May Bean, age 94, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Donna was born on June 9, 1929 to Vern and Faye Couch in Shenandoah, IA. Donna was the oldest of six children: Marian Kellenberger, Joyce Fradenburg, Jackie Robertson, Dick Couch and Gary Couch. Donna worked as a professional seamstress for most of her life. She worked at Fashionbilt Garment Company as a pattern grader and part time model for fitting coats. When the company in Kansas City closed, she went to work for Isle Knit-Rite making body socks and stump shrinkers for people with artificial limbs. She was a fiber artist most of her life and enjoyed making clothing, crocheting, and quilt making. She spent much of her retirement years making mittens and donating them to schools for children. Donna leaves behind four children, Donald Myers Sr. and partner Shorey Fisher, Sharlan Raney and spouse Denny, Janet King and spouse Larry, and Chris Elkins and spouse David; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, granddaughter Pamula Myers and husband Charlie Bean. Graveside services will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd. Kansas City MO 64133 on March 16, at 10 a.m.

"Donald Earl Scales 81, of Girard, KS died 12:10am Sunday February 18, 2024 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO following a long battle with cancer. Donald was born February 12, 1943 in Crawford County, KS to Glen Wilford and Julia Faye (McColm) Scales. Don has lived in this area most all his life. Donald graduated from Cherokee High School in 1961 and later joined the United States Army Reserves, serving from October of 1963 to October of 1969. On January 30, 1965 Donald married Linda Lee Clugston in Crawford County, KS; she survives at the home in Girard, KS. Donald worked as a Coal Miner for 23 years for Mine 19 Big Brutus and LaCygne KS. He and his wife Linda later owned and operated J and W Poultry Girard, KS. Donald was of the Christian Faith; he was a member of the SNPJ and President for 10 years; American Legion Cherokee, KS; American Legion Girard, KS; a Mirza Temple Shriner; Masonic Lodge member; ELKS Club 412; ER 2 years; Lifetime Member Big Brutus Inc.; Cherokee Gun Club; Tank Pond Member and a member of the West Mineral Eagles. Survivors include his wife Linda; children Glen W. Scales and wife Sherry of Allen, TX and Donna L. Platt and husband Steven of Butler, MO; brother Melvin Scales and wife Mary Jo of Pittsburg, KS; grandchildren Jenny Jo Burdine, Kaleb Platt, Breanna Jones and Tessa Webb; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, brother Maurice Glen Scales and sister Judy Scales. Funeral Services will be 1:00pm Wednesday February 21, 2024 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS with Pastor Duane Elmore officiating. Burial will follow at the Monmouth Cemetery in Rural Crawford County, KS. Family will receive friends from 12-1:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home; friends may call after 10:00am Wednesday. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the SNPJ Scholarship Fund and/or Girard American Legion Post 26 Building Fund. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway Pittsburg, KS 66762. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.
