WILLOW PARK - Margaretha (Margo) Anna Maria Von Hess Luedke was born on April 10, 1930, in Innsbruck, Austria. She was the youngest of four children born to Gottfried and Anna Hess. Margo grew up during WWII and as devastating an experience as that was, she emerged with a cheerful spirit and zest for life. At the end of WWII, she met her husband, Arnold Luedke who had been stationed in Salzburg. The two married on October 30, 1947, and returned to Arnold's home state of Texas. They had three children, Elisabeth, Victor, and Mishelle. In the late 70's Margo began painting. Art was her passion, and she could get lost in a painting for hours. Although she sold several paintings over the years, she was delighted to be able to gift paintings to her friends and family. Margo was Oma to four grandchildren, Derek, Taylor, Jordan, and Jake. Her family was always her pride and joy. She loved family gatherings and playing games, especially Left, Center, Right. Margo was always the life of the party wherever she went. . . she will be missed by many. Margo was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Gottfried Hess; her husband, Arnold; and siblings, Eberhardt Hess, Inge Hess, and Ekehardt Hess. She is survived by her children, Elisabeth Thomas, Victor Luedke (partner, Connie Mauer), and Mishelle (husband, Wendell) Lancaster; and grandchildren, Derek (wife, Gay) Thomas, Taylor Bell (partner, Dustin Fockler), Jordan Lancaster (partner, Cory Coleman), and Jake Lancaster.
