Margaret E. (Cullen) Ludden, 76, of Liverpool, NY passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Loretto Cunningham Nursing Home in Syracuse. She was born in Los Angeles, CA, a daughter of the late John J. and Eleanore M. (Nemec) Cullen. Margaret was raised and educated in many different states and countries, and attended Marymount University, Virginia. While residing in Hawaii and prior to coming to the Syracuse area, she met and married Lawrence R. Ludden, a blessed union of 19 years. Margaret will be remembered for her loving and caring ways. She had a huge heart and was a friend to everyone. Margaret enjoyed playing tennis, writing poetry and crossword puzzles. Most importantly, her main focus was family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Lawrence R. Ludden in 1986. Surviving are her children, Christopher A. (Tricia) Ludden and Carolyn E. Ludden both of Liverpool, NY, three grandchildren, Max, Chloe and Bailey, three sisters, Theresa Bjers of Williamsburg, VA, Patricia (Joseph) Pfanzelter of Surf City, NC, Christy Katzenbach (Thomas G. Burkhardt) of Fernandina Beach, Fl, three nieces and five nephews. Lucille (Cooper) Johnson, a longtime resident of Fair Haven and most recently of Oswego, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2023 at the age of 101. Lucille was born on October 9, 1922 in Fair Haven, NY to Maurice and Marion (Howell) Cooper. She attended Fair Haven School and graduated high school as Salutatorian. Lucille continued her education at Geneseo College, graduating in 1944 with a major in Library Science. In June 1946, Lucille married Robert Wilkinson of Fair Haven, NY. They were the loving parents of Susan and Christine. Lucille and Robert raised their daughters in their home on Richmond Ave, where Lucille resided for 68 years. Due to Robert's health, they spent their winters in Arizona, where they had the company of family and friends. Lucille continued to travel to Arizona after Robert's death in 1990. Over the course of her career, Lucille was a librarian at Oswego Schools, Fair Haven School, Oswego Public Library, and as a volunteer at Fair Haven Public Library where she created their card catalog by hand. She retired as a librarian in 1978. Her love of teaching and reading transcended generations from her daughter's careers in education and library settings, bringing her grandchildren to the Fair Haven library, to reading to her great-grandchildren at any opportunity. Lucille was fortunate to find love twice and married Bob Johnson, of Oregon in 1993. Together they spent winters in Arizona and summers in Fair Haven, and enjoyed traveling to new places. Valerie Kosdrosky, 68, of Liverpool, NY passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Syracuse, NY on February 6, 1955 to Valmont and Victoria LaMont and was a life resident of Liverpool, graduating from Liverpool High School Class of 1973. She worked many years at Renaud Wicks Blue Print Shop in downtown Syracuse before she went on to work for Val's Paving and seasonally at Toys R Us. Valerie loved to spoil those around her, whether it was through her great baking, making sauce, meatballs and pasta dinners for her family or simply spending time with friends having a drink. She loved the outdoors, especially camping in the Adirondacks and family cookouts. Valerie will always be remembered for her great sense of humor. She was predeceased by her parents and a son, Thomas Juliano, Sr. Valerie is survived by and the proud mother of Dennis (Karianne) Kosdrosky, Jr. of Liverpool, NY; sister, Debra Wasnik of Liverpool, NY; grandchildren, Mia Juliano, Thomas Juliano, Jr. , Ethan Juliano, Alexyia Pitre, Antonia Juliano and Kole Kosdrosky; a nephew, Michael Wasnik and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Margaret "Peggy" Mildred (Bowes) Badger, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on the evening of November 24, 2023, in Liverpool, N. Y. , at the age of 95, surrounded by family members. Born in Ogdensburg, N. Y. , to the late John and Mary (McGinnis) Bowes, she graduated in the Class of 1945 from St. Mary's Academy in Ogdensburg, N. Y. , and subsequently attended and graduated as an RN from the A. Barton Hepburn Nursing School and Hospital in Ogdensburg, N. Y. She married Malcolm "Mac" Badger in October 1950, and they relocated to the Syracuse, N. Y. , area, settling in Liverpool. She worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse until 1966. Peggy then established and operated Mill End Fabrics from their home in Liverpool, where she formed a multitude of lifelong friendships. In the summer and fall, she and Mac enjoyed their leisure time at their cottage on Lake Ontario in Henderson Harbor, where she loved the sunsets and could never have enough photos of the sun setting across the lake. Peggy will especially missed for dry wit and sense of humor. Peggy was dedicated to her faith and was an active parishioner of the former Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. In addition to her parents, Margaret is predeceased by her husband, Mac, a son, Richard and three brothers and sisters-in-law Jack (Jean), Peter (Joyce), and Robert (Ann) Bowes. Margaret is survived by her five sons: Michael (Janet), Robert (Kristen), William (Kelly), James (Peggy), and Douglas (Lisa); as well as her daughter MaryBeth (Jim). She leaves behind a legacy that also includes Nancy Badger and extends through twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Martha "Martie" Gloria Landon, 66 of Warners, NY passed away on Thanksgiving morning at Upstate University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, NY, daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Abbatiello) Iannuzzi. Martha attended Henniger High School and on September 23, 1975 was united in marriage to David Norman Landon, a blessed union of 48 years. The couple have resided in Warners, NY for the past 18 years. Martha was the President and owner of Martie's Building Services for the past 25 years. She enjoyed sewing gardening and cooking. Martie spent time boating, antiquing and looked forward to playing Pitch with her loving father-in-law, Bruce Shaw. Most of all, she loved spending time and caring for her family. Martie was a member of Syracuse Reformed Presbyterian Church. She is predeceased by her sister, Anne Schoberlein and son-in-law, Robert Hills. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children; David J. Arthur E. Morris, Sr. , 97, formerly of Liverpool, NY and Baldwinsville, NY passed away on Monday at the Nottingham in Jamesville. He was born in Woonsocket, RI, son of the late Walter and Helen (Kelly) Morris. Arthur grew up in Hazardville, CT graduating from Enfield High School, Class of 1943. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy as an Aviation Cadet from 1944 to 1946. After serving his country, Arthur continued his studies at Yale University obtaining his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering in 1950. He started his career in New York City where he met his wife, the former Toni Anne Cacioppo, a blessed union of 48 years until her passing in 2000. They came to Central New York in 1959 settling in Liverpool, NY. Arthur worked for General Electric as an Electrical Engineer in their Heavy Military Division, retiring in 1986. He went back to work for the Sensis Corporation where he worked until the age of 84. Arthur was devoted to his family, always supporting them in any of their endeavors. He was an avid reader and a blood donor at the American Red Cross. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his two brothers, Walter and Robert. He is survived by his daughter, Joan C. (Scott) Vogelsang of Liverpool, NY; three sons, Walter W. (Pamela) Morris of Arizona, Anthony C. Morris of Baldwinsville, NY, Arthur E. (Andrew Tickle) Morris, Jr. , of Rochester, NY; two granddaughters, Kathleen (Daniel Orr) Vogelsang and Kristen Vogelsang, several nieces and nephews. Jim passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening of November 18, 2023 at home in Cicero, NY, at the age of 63, following a day playing video games and laughing like a kid with his wife. James "Jim" William Cavanaugh, Jr. was born in Newark, NJ, before his family moved to Central New York. There he grew up riding dirt bikes and motocross, and he developed a love of athletics and all things outdoors. Jim graduated from Tully Central High School and pursued an education in "the school of life," where he became a well-rounded, successful, and empathetic student. An accomplished businessman and entrepreneur, Jim founded and built his own tech infrastructure company, Syratec, which he successfully operated for 20 years. He balanced business with a wide variety of hobbies and interests: fishing, boating, flying remote airplanes, spending time in the Adirondacks, and following his beloved Syracuse Orangemen and NY Giants. In addition to these, Jim's passion was music. A multi-instrumentalist with an uncanny, sought-after ear for mixing and engineering, Jim put himself fully into his and others' craft. Jim was a skilled artist, whether producing through his in-home studio, playing and writing music, or even building and finishing his own handmade guitars. Many will remember Jim's ability to command a room and make friends anywhere he went, with his tall frame, "radio voice," confidence, humor, and genuine warmth; with a trademark firm handshake, look in the eye, and infectious smile. He was a big-hearted and supportive friend, and a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Together for 25 years with his wife and best friend, Mary, Jim shared a wonderful life with a blended family: Jim's sons Jimmer and Colin, and Mary's son Zach. Jim was an encouraging, insightful, and unconditionally loving father to all the boys. He is survived by his wife, Mary Cavanaugh, two sons, Jimmer (Julianne Dixon, granddaughter Emmarie) and Colin Cavanaugh (Emily Evans), Mary's son Zach Burrell (Madison Campbell), sister, Marihelen Curry (Steve), brother, Tim Cavanaugh (Donna), and many adoring nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mercedes Cavanaugh. Roger K. Schardt, 77, of Liverpool, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday surrounded by his children. He was born in Syracuse, NY, the son of the late Kenneth and Irma Schardt. Roger grew up in Galeville, graduating from Liverpool High School. He started his career as a diesel mechanic with UPS. Roger worked for Byrnes Motor Express and Ryder/PIE Nationwide Inc. , retiring from New England Motor Freight, after a lifelong vocation. He had a love for cars and enjoyed attending or watching auto auctions. Roger loved the St Lawrence River spending time boating. He loved being with his family, friends or helping a neighbor in need. Surviving to cherish his memory are his children; Rene, Deanna (Melvin), Francine (Ambrose), Robert (Martha), Michael (Rebecca), a proud grandfather to; Anthony (Jessica), Danielle, Brittany (Kimbley), Brandy, Anthony, Christopher, Dylan, Tyler, Adelynne, Jeffrey and Stephen, great-grandfather to; Avery, Ahrielle, Aviahn and Carson.
