Margaret Kuhns Obituary

Margaret B. (McFadden) Kuhns, age 100, of Honey Brook, PA (formerly of Meadville and Conneaut Lake, PA) passed away peacefully on Saturday April 8, 2023 at Hickory House Nursing home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 21, 1923 in Toronto, OH to the late James Ralph and Annabelle (Stocks) McFadden. She married Paul B. Kuhns on November 23, 1943. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1990. Margaret was a 1940 graduate of Coraopolis High School in Coraopolis, PA. Her career in the insurance industry spanned over 50 years, beginning in the late 40's at the late Carl Pease Agency in Meadville, PA. She retired in 1993 from the Bush Insurance Agency in Meadville, PA. Margaret spent many years crocheting afghans and gifts for friends and family. She enjoyed RV travel with family throughout the Continental United States and Canada and going for long drives with her husband Paul, often stopping along the way to visit friends and family. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Nancy Kuhns-Trucks and her husband, Michael Trucks of Glenmoore, PA; her son, Paul B. Kuhns II of Strongsville, OH and her grandchildren, Rebecca Dempsey of Lancaster, PA, Maxwell Kuhns and Samantha Kuhns both of Parker, CO and a special niece, Sonja Galkiewicz of Erie, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, James A. McFadden and her sisters, Emma A. Mueller, Virginia Ward Carroll and Helen Brennan. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday April 12, 2023 from 12- 2 pm at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St. , Meadville, PA 16335. Service will take place at the funeral home at 2:00 pm with Reverend Dr. Daniel Corll officiating. Margaret will be buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
