We are saddened to announce that Thomas G. Pugh, 73, of Stony Point, NY passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Saturday February 17, 2024. Thomas was born March 14, 1950, to Robert and Rose (Soldano) Pugh in Chicago, IL. Thomas married the love of his life Donna on November 7, 1970, and raised their family in North Rockland. For over 40 years he owned and operated Rockland County Auto Bodyalong with his father-in-law Al Kaiser, until retiring in 2021. He loved cars and gardening but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Thomas will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his beloved wife Donna, his son Thomas Jr, his daughter Kristina Alfonso and husband Dennis, and 3 grandchildren Isabella, Logan and Devon. He is also survived by his sister Jeanine Brunas (John), two brothers Robert (Barbara) Pugh and Joseph (Cathy) Pugh,his mother-in-law, Doris Kaiser, and two brothers-in law, Ron Kaiser and Al (Gabriella) Kaiser, and several nieces and nephews. Thomas was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Rose Pugh, his brother Chuck and father-in-law Al Kaiser. Family will receive friends on Wednesday February 21, from 3:00 – 7:00 pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY. A funeral Service to celebrate Thomas’s life will be held on Thursday, February 22, at 11am at TJ McGowans Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Thomas’s memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSKCC).

CHINNAMMA PETER KOYITHARA was born in Cherpunkal on July 4, 1926 to the Valloor family. She married to Peter (Kunjukutty) Koyithara, from Uzhavoor, on May 20, 1946 and they were blessed with 9 children who in turn gave her 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren by 2024. She made her first trip to the USA with her husband in 1983 and moved to USA full-time around 2016 where she was living with her youngest son. She was strong in her Catholic faith and the matriarch of our family. She commanded respect with her sassiness and taught us to value our family. After 97 years, on January 31, 2024, she was called to heaven where she was joined by her husband and two children. She will truly be missed and her legacy will live on through the many lives she has impacted. Dominic Colleluore, 88, of Stony Point, NY, peacefully passed away on January 26, 2023. He was born in Nyack, New York on August 11, 1935 to Dominic and Margaret (Call) Colleluori. He is survived by his son, Dominic Colleluore and wife, Michelle and their children: Jillian Beyers (Bradley), Daniel Colleluore, and Dominic Colleluore. His daughter, Donna Philips and her children: Veronica, Thomas, and Kimberly. Along with 3 great grandchildren. His brother Joseph Colleluore (Dorothy). He was predeceased by his twin brother, Johnny and 2 sisters, Concetta and Annie. Dominic, otherwise known by “Pop Dom” or “Duke,” was a staple of the North Rockland community. He would strike up a conversation and make friends with everyone he met. He made everyone smile, as he always had a joke to tell. He never missed an opportunity to tell you how proud he was of his family. He enjoyed hiking and walking the grounds of the Marine Shrine. He loved pizza, jelly beans and absolutely loved Sunday drives with his son exploring new restaurants and coffee shops. He served for the United States Army, in the Airborne Division and spent time overseas. When he returned home, he worked for Orange and Rockland for 25 years. During retirement, he enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved to read, do crossword puzzles, and spending time in nature. He had an eclectic taste in music. He loved 50s music, classic rock and surprisingly enough, old school hip-hop. Visitation will be held at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnverville, NY on Tuesday, January 30th from 4 – 8pm. A private burial will take place on Wednesday morning. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local animal shelter.

Lisa Marie Alongi Garvey passed away peacefully in her home on January 24th, 2024, with her family beside her. Lisa was born on June 9th, 1967, in Beverly, Massachusetts to Josephine and John Alongi. She graduated from North Rockland High School and went on to receive a degree from the University at Albany. Lisa married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Brian, on July 11, 1992. Together they raised their 3 children in Stony Point. Lisa was heavily involved in her community. She served on both the Thiells and Willow Grove PTA committees for several years as well as coaching both of her daughters’ North Rockland Pop Warner cheerleading teams. She was a wonderful and loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Brian, their children Brandon, Kaitlyn, and Emily, her parents Josephine and John, and her sisters Michele (Donath) and Jaclyn (Capon). Family will receive friends on Friday, February 2nd from 4-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home , 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY. Robert Eugene Smith, of Stony Point, NY, 92 years old, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2024. Robert was born on January 11, 1932 to Harry and Ethel Smith. He was a lifelong resident of North Rockland. He grew up in Garnerville, West Haverstraw and finally Stony Point where he lived and took care of his sister Hazel Manglass and her husband Attilio until they passed. Robert served in the United States Navy as an electrician from 1951 to 1954. He worked various construction jobs until he retired from Rockland BOCES. Robert was an ex-Chief and life member of Wayne Hose Fire Company in Stony Point. He was the longest serving member, 63 years, at the time of his death. He loved cheering for his favorite teams, the Mets baseball team and Giants football team. Robert is survived by his nephew Donald Manglass and his wife Pat, great nephew Scott Manglass and his wife Mary, and great niece Deborah E. Manglass. Robert was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Harry and Belding and his sisters Margaret, Hazel and Myrtle. Robert was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 2-6 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point, NY. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11 AM, followed by interment at Mt.Repose Cemetery in Haverstraw, NY.
