Margaret "Margie" (Masterson) Eschen, 79, of Wakeman, passed away peacefully Saturday September 30, 2023 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born on December 22, 1943 to John and Margaret (Joyce) Masterson. Margaret graduated from Lourdes Academy and Baylor University. She married the love of her life, John, on July 15, 1972. She was a nurse that served her community at St. Josephs, Allen Memorial and Mercy Hospitals for over 50 years. She loved her family beyond measure and enjoyed spending time with each of them. She enjoyed walking and nature. Her faith was visible in her life of helping others through selfless acts of kindness and compassion. Margaret was a member of St Mary's Parish. In her spare time, she enjoyed finding and collecting treasures found while traveling with her husband. She was known to her family and others as Smiley because of her constant infectious smile. Margaret is survived by her son, Sean (Liza) Eschen of Wakeman, OH, grandchildren; Kalob, Kayla, Kaden, Kagen; great grandchildren; Jaxton, Zander and Madalynn as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband John Eschen (2016), granddaughter; Katlyn, brothers: Francis, James and Richard Masterson. Friends may call on Friday, October 6th from 4 to 8 pm at Toft Funeral Home, Wakeman Chapel, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 7 at St. Mary's Parish, 46 Main Street (US 20), Wakeman at 10 am with Father Ron Brickner presiding. Margaret L. "Marge" Forry, age 81, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 2:55 a. m. at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Upper Sandusky. Margaret was born on August 9, 1942 in Crawford County, Ohio, to Theodore and Maryetta (Nagel) Kline, both of whom are deceased. She is survived by her children: Ruth Bashore of Upper Sandusky, Teresa (Jeff) Brown of Upper Sandusky, Sandy (Doug) Noon of Carey, Karl Jr. (Jennifer) Kiehl of Fostoria, Jim Jr. (Barb) Forry of Morral, Jason (Misty) Forry of Pioneer, and Jennifer Forry of West Unity, Ohio, along with 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Margaret was retired from GTE-Verizon in Marion after 25 years, then went on to work in Upper Sandusky for the former Marty's IGA and A&A Grocery for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky, and had been a member of the former North Salem Lutheran Church. Margaret was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Quilters of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and volunteering at the Christian Food Pantry. For hobbies she enjoyed traveling, crocheting, playing various card games with family and friends. A celebration of life service will be announce at a later date. Robert Elbert Gillespie Sr. , 82, residing in North Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at after a lengthy illness. Robert was born on November 12, 1941, in Sockets Harbor, NY to the late William and Norma (Lesperance) Gillespie. Robert was a graduate of Sandusky High School. He was a Veteran of the Marines who proudly served his country from 1959 to 1963. He was employed as a Conductor at Norfolk Southern for several years. Robert was a lifetime member of V. F. W. Post #2529. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards and fishing. John Otto Bossart, 91, of Sandusky, Ohio, transitioned to his heavenly home, Sunday, December 3, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by the love of his family. John was born on September 11, 1932, in Racine, Wisconsin. He graduated from Park High School in Racine in 1950. He received his Bachelors degree in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He was a United States Army veteran. In 1959, John married the love of his life, Nancy Bossart and they moved to Sandusky in 1971 where he began his career at the former Farrell Cheek. He retired from LEWCO in 1995. Following retirement, he began working part-time at Cedar Point and JC Penney because he enjoyed spending time with people in his community. John was an active member of the Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene. John was a proud alumnus of the University of Wisconsin and was a member of its Bascom Hill Society. John enjoyed hosting many Badger Bashs throughout the years at his home and church for his friends and family. He always got a kick out of introducing Kringle, his hometown pastry, to his Ohio friends. John cherished the memories shared with his Senior Men's Fellowship buddies and Bridge Club friends. He is survived by his children, Charles (Christine) Bossart, Gretchen Bossart, and John Bossart Jr. ; four grandchildren, Christopher (Savannah) Bossart, C. J. (Betsy) Bossart, Kyle (Alex) Homerick, and Kelly (Paul) Priestas; four great grandchildren with one more on the way; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, and one brother, Byron Bossart. The funeral will be a private ceremony for family members. Ervin Lamont Owens, 57, Sandusky, gained his wings and entered the pearly gates of Heaven on Thursday, November 30, 2023. Ervin was born on Saturday, June 18, 1966, to Ervin and Mattie (Brown) Owens. The oldest of three children, he graduated from Sandusky High School in 1984, and while attending Sandusky he participated in many sports, excelling in football. He received full sports scholarship to play football at the University of Cincinnati and injury sidelined him but he continued to get his degree in communication, and worked as a production supervisor for companies in Cincinnati, Springfield and Sandusky. Ervin loved watching sports. He is survived in life by his mother, Mattie Owens, Sandusky; children, Ariana Owens, Cincinnati, Aristen Owens, Atlanta, GA, and Darius Owens, Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Anastasia Fontaine, Teion Thompson, and Jamel Thomson, all of Atlanta; sister, Annette (John) Earnest, Jacksonville, FL, brother, Jamar Owens, Sandusky; host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Owens in 2019, maternal grandparents, Pervis D. Brown Sr. and Velma M. (Rollison) Pray; maternal grandparents, Mervin and Mattie Owens. Noah Hunter, 86, of Sandusky, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, November 30, 2023. Our Beloved Noah was born March 26, 1937, in Garrett, Kentucky. In the 1950's Noah relocated his family to Clarksfield, Ohio where he built a home from the ground up with some help from neighbors and family at the young age of 22. He was a hard worker and a good provider for his family. He retired from the Village of Wellington Utilities where he worked for more than 30 years. As a jack of all trades, there was not anything he could not do. He was humble, kind and a pillar of strength to all. He deeply cared for others and spoke directly from his heart giving you his honest opinion at all times. He loved life and people. He would quickly become a friend to all who he met with his southern charm and infectious smile. His hobbies were playing cards, fishing, hunting, playing with his backhoe, attending flea markets, repairing cars and lawn mowers and tinker in his garage on small projects. His favorite time of year was Christmas as he played Santa for the little ones at "Aunt" Donnas every Christmas. He truly loved the meaning and spirit of family. Noah is survived by five children, Eugene Hunter, Geneva Hunter, Janette Howard, Caroline Hunter Tokar, Donna (Isidro) Garcia. He is also survived by several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren. Brothers; Holley Hunter, Jackie Hunter and Christopher (Karen) Hunter. Sisters; Alice (Bill) Cooper, Janie Osborne, Dora Ellen Boyd and Sally DeVoogd. Also, Shalon Rae Raab and Scott Joseph Steele, children of his long-term companion Janice Steele. Noah is preceded in death by his parents, Dollie and Emery Hunter, former wife, Maglene Hunter and a longtime companion Janice Steele, Brothers Lewis Hunter, Clovis Hunter and Kermit Hunter and five sisters; Jacqueline Traylor, Maudie Tatro, Lillie Mae Thornsberry, Marie Harvey and Imogene Hunter. He was affectionately known as "Voro" or "Vilo" to his family and friends, and was born in Sandusky on January 18, 1984 to the union of Odell Hollinger and Rebecca Hartley, and graduated from Sandusky High School in 2003. Lavoro was full of love, loving his children and family. Dennis E. St. Clair, 87, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on December 26, 1935 in Lacarne, Ohio, the son of Clayton and Esther (Rice) St. Clair. On December 31, 1953 he married Joyce Arnold and she survives. Dennis graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1953; worked as a timekeeper at Standard Products and then served in the Army National Guard from 1954 through 1966 where he was an ordinance parts specialist, and worked at Camp Perry as the facilities manager retiring in 1995. Following his retirement, he worked at Lowes until a stroke affected him at age 79. Dennis enjoyed traveling, helping anyone in need, and especially loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Joyce; son, Mark (Jolene) St. Clair; daughter, Jennifer (Gary) Walterbusch; son, Jeffrey (Judy) St. Clair; son, Scott St. Clair; grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah) Crawford, Megan Erdmann, Tabitha St. Clair, Michael St. Clair, Andrew St. Clair (Grace Reynolds), Jacob St. Clair, Rachel St. Clair, Rebecca Souza, Joel Souza; great-grandchildren, Gage & Blaine Erdmann, Mason & Hannah Crawford, Savannah St. Clair, Justin Schottler, Blake Johnson, Oliver St. Clair, Emmit Chambers, Penelope Souza, Jocelyn Jamerson, Jordan Carter; great-great-granddaughter, Isabella Ashby; and sister, Beverly (James) Johannson. Max L. Harshman, of Marblehead, OH passed away Thursday,November 30, 2023, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky,Ohio after a sudden illness. He was born in Randolph County, Indiana, the son ofGlen and Ruth Harshman. Max graduated from Spartanburg High School and the GaleInstitute, Minneapolis, MN, following which he went to work for the B & O Railroad. He retired from CSX after 43 years of employment. Max was a devoted golfer, having won the club championship at the former Rolling Acres Golf Courseand was runner up the next year. He loved anything pertaining to the railroad, but most of all loved his family, especially his many nieces and nephews. Max is survived by his wife Marilyn, (Gott), to whom he was married for 48 years. He served his country in the United States Army and had been a member ofChrist Community Evangelical Free Church prior to moving to Marblehead. He was amember of the Brotherhood of Railway and Airline Clerks, The American Legion and theNational Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees, Unit144 (N. A. R. V. E. )Also surviving are his sisters: Patricia (Carroll) Stracenerof Muncie, IN, Joyce Atwood of Ormond Beach, FL; sisters-in-law:Janice Harshman, Ruth Harshman, Doris Harshman and many nieces andnephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Glen and RuthHarshman; brothers: James Harshman, C.
