Beemer (Bob) and Wanda L. Beemer (Jones). He was the second of four children that would challenge the skill and fortitude of the Beemer household for decades to come. After moving to Dodge City when he was three years old, throughout his elementary and adolescent years, Mitch excelled at school, loved science, and was usually up for an adventure, if not instigating one. He loved to laugh, had a quick sense of humor, and cared deeply for his friends and family. Mitch's closest friends until the end, were friendships that began in high school and endured the ages. Upon graduating from high school, Mitch managed a couple of local restaurants, then moved to Denver, where he met his wife, Shelly Songer, in 1988.
