Margaret Cooper Obituary

| | | Margaret Young Cooper, 86, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 7, 2023. She was born June 18, 1936 in Ferrum VA. the daughter of Charles Hubbard and Minnie Spencer Young. She was preceded in death by the one and only true love of her life and father of her children, Glen D. Cooper of Callaway VA. Grandchildren Carrie L, Spencer and Brendon G Holland. Brothers Junior, Claude, Sterling and Curtis Young and sisters Pearl Santrock and Josephine Micolupo. Those left to cherish her memory are her six children Sheila Midkiff (Ricky), Stacey Cooper (Sandy), Theresa Cooper, Debbie Spencer (Garry), Tracey Cooper (Tracie), and Candice Cooper; her grandchildren Greg Holland (Amanda), Keith Cooper (Michael), Shane Cooper, Christopher Cooper (Brittany), Caitlin Spencer, and Spencer Cooper. She is also survived by her lifelong best friends, her sisters, Jean Ruth of Rocky Mount and Betty Blankenship of Roanoke, VA. 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend heartfelt love and appreciation to our sweet cousin and Momma's "other baby" Clara Micolupo RN, who selflessly sat with her and the family and lent tremendous care, love, and support during this difficult time. It is also with sincere gratitude that the family would like to thank the wonderful and amazing nurses and staff of Good Samaritan Hospice for their unwavering care, support, and compassion they gave our sweet mother and our family throughout this difficult time. We are forever thankful. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Cooper Cemetery in Callaway, Virginia.
