Mrs. Margaret Ruth Blanchard, age 87, a resident of Auburndale, Florida passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at her home surrounded by family. Mrs. Blanchard was born September 19, 1936 in Greenwich, Connecticut. She was an Auburndale resident since the 1970's coming from Connecticut. Margaret was a homemaker, member of the First United Methodist Church, president of the First United Methodist Women and a member of the Army Ladies Auxiliary Club. Margaret and her late husband Dwight traveled over 20 years while he served in the Army during the Korean Conflict & Vietnam (Connecticut, Indiana, Virginia, Korea, Texas, New Jersey, Georgia, Germany & Florida). She enjoyed volunteering for the church, crafts, flowers, plants, yardwork, animals and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband - Francis "Dwight" Blanchard (2009); sister - Mildred; brother - Robert and grandson - Yahshua. Margaret is survived by her loving family, 3 sons - Dwight (Mary) Blanchard of Chandler, Arizona, Daniel (Debra) Blanchard and Robert Blanchard both of Auburndale, Florida; daughter - Margaret Moses of Estell Springs, Tennessee. ; sister - Patricia Sanders of Mulberry, Florida; 16 grandchildren - Angela (Seth), Kyle (Isabella), Meghan (Jim), Michael (Vanessa), Lori (Rich), Jennifer (Chris), Kayla, Matthew, Heather (Jason), Elizabeth (Kayn), William, Fairn, Jim, Brian, Crystal Nicole and Wayne (Tori); 17 great grandchildren - Addison, Bailey, Isaiah, Liam, Mariska, Benjamin, Makyela, Brantley, Garrett, Tristan, Tyler, Ava, James, Angelina, Leighton, Everleigh and Dalton; 2 great great grandchildren - Kayden and Kieya. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Mrs. Blanchard's name to either; The United Methodist Women, 316 Lake Ariana Blvd. , Auburndale, FL. 33823 OR SPCA, 5850 Brannen Rd. S. , Lakeland, FL. 33813. Funeral services will be held 6pm Tuesday, October 10 with visitation beginning at 5pm both at the First United Methodist Church, 316 Lake Ariana Ave. , Auburndale. Graveside services will be held 10am Wednesday, October 11 at Griffin Cemetery, 2339 Sleepy Hill, Lakeland.

Mr. Richard Bruce Bolig, age 85, a resident of Auburndale, Florida passed away Monday, November 27, 2023 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland surrounded by his family. Mr. Bolig was born January 17, 1938 in Sellersville, Pennsylvania to William Kraft and Mary Emma (Grasse) Bolig. He retired after 47 years as a Truck Driver where he worked for many companies and had his own truck at one time. Richard was a Polk County resident since 2004 coming from Pennsylvania. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a member of Gateway Assembly of God Church in Auburndale. He enjoyed building model boats & airplanes, painting and loved to spend time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother - William Donald; 3 sisters - Mary, Martha & Jeanne and grandson - Nicholas. Richard is survived by his loving family, wife - Virginia "Ginny" Holaday of Auburndale, Florida; 2 sons - Randy (Paula) Bolig of Lakeland, Florida and Andrew "Andy" (Ami) Bolig of Lakeland, Florida; 2 daughters - Sandra (Eric) Bacon of Lakeland, Florida and Bobbie Jean Bolig of Topton, Pennsylvania; 4 stepchildren - Becky Bowlin of Auburndale, Florida, Jamie (Connie) Holaday of Ohio, Butch (Vickie) Holaday of Ocala, Florida and Robbie Holaday of Panama City, Florida; brother - Paul Bolig of Quakertown, Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren - Tony, Jessica, Cortney, Kaylyn, Alex, Austyn, Misty, Jason, Rachel and Christy; 12 great grandchildren - Owen, Riley, Jocelyn, Annie, Zack, Harley, Jordan, Logan, Sara, Allen, Logan and Landen.Show more

Mr. Milford Vernon Morgan, age 98, a resident of Auburndale, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Good Shepherd Hospice. Mr. Morgan was born November 14, 1925 in Marion County, West Virginia to Omer King and Retha Dale (Toothman) Morgan. He was a resident of Auburndale since 1940 coming from West Virginia and graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1944. Mr. Morgan was the 1 Mailman of Auburndale retiring after 30 years. He was a United States Marine Veteran serving in World War II as a Rader Operator on the Marshall Islands and New Orleans. He was a member & deacon of East Temple Baptist Church in Auburndale and member of the American Legion Post 8 in Winter Haven. Milford enjoyed tennis, bowling and spending time with family & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife - Louise Fenn Morgan; 2 sons - Richard Larry Morgan & Michael Gary Morgan; 2 brothers - Laco Morgan & June Morgan and 1 sister - France Tater. Mr. Morgan is survived by, daughter - Cheryl Hamilton VanDuser; nephew - Nelson (Judy) Morgan; 4 grandchildren - Michael Jr. , Alanna, Jessica and Timothy (Kristen); 7 gt grandchildren - Khole, Michael,III, Arya, Mary, Zoey, Kayla and Allison; many extended family. Visitation will be Friday, November 24 from 6-8 pm at Kersey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday, November 25 at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.Show more
