Marcella Bowlen Obituary

Marcella "Marci" J. Bowlen, age 54, passed away with family by her side at home on Friday, April 21st, 2023 at 3:05 p. m. She was born into the home of Jerry and Peggy (Reed) Bowlen on April 17th, 1969 in Bloomington, Indiana. Marci spent the last 30 years of her life in the real estate business, working tirelessly to make people's dreams come true and always caring for her clients like family. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time in her yard tending to her flowers, anything that involved being in the sun, dinner dates with her friends and mostly, sharing all of life's joys with her "grands". Marci was very strong in her faith, and she lived her life serving the Lord and others, always being the caretaker with a true servant heart. She spoke the name of Jesus until her last breath and was welcomed into the gates of heaven with her parents, Peggy and Jerry Bowlen, her siblings, Penny and Donna and so many more that she loved and long to be with again. Marci is survived by her two children, son Christopher Afanador, and daughter Ciera (Cole) Whitehead; three sisters Rebecca, Janet, and Pam; three brothers Michael, Jerry,and Damon; and three grandchildren who were the light of her life Jaxon, Benjamin and Ella; as well as many nieces and nephews that she cherished. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing. " 2 Timothy 4: 7-8
