Maud Ann Harry, also known as "Maudie", was a native and resident of Vacherie (Harrytown Lane, in which she drew up the petition to change the street name from Gum St). Maud was born to the union of Ernest Joseph and Rose Mary Jessie Harry on October 16, 1958. She was the third daughter and fifth child out of ten. Maud was a workaholic in the Security field until her health deeply declined. On her job site, she was known has "Top Cop" and was loved by all. Maud was truly dedicated to all her endeavors. She was a major Miami Dolphins fan. Her music icon was Whitney Houston. She loved fast cars (Mustangs), and her favorite saying was "This too shall pass". She adored her two Godchildren: Elise Keller Johnson (Nukie) and Shaquille Jordan Dontae' Harry (Do). Left to cherish Maud's precious memories are her brothers: Raymond (Floretta), Elton Joseph, Paul Anthony, and Stephen Mark Harry all of Vacherie, Eddie (Denise) of Texas, and Clarence (Theresa) of Slidell; sisters: Catherine Lacey (major caregiver), and Leslie (Elwood) Keller of Vacherie, and Kathleen (the late Netter Jr.) of Saint James; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Special thanks to Acadian Ambulance, Chateau D'Ville Rehab and Retirement Facility, Cardinal Hospice, Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center (Baton Rouge), SAGE Rehabilitation Hospital, St. James Parish Hospital, St. Joseph Hospice (The Carpenter House), and United Medical Rehabilitation Hospital. A memorial gathering honoring our beloved Maud Ann Harry will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 East Airline Hwy., Gramercy, LA 70052 from 5PM-7PM. Final care and professional services entrusted to Treasures of Life Funeral Services. "When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a TREASURE!"

CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 at an 11:00 a.m. Liturgy of the Word in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for James "Jimmy" Roy, age 68, who departed his earthly life on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge and received his wings to his heavenly home.Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro.James "Jimmy" Roy was born on October 3, 1955 to the late Wilfred and Annabell Alfred Roy of Carencro, where he was raised by his loving parents. James had a passion for cooking, cleaning, spending time with his family and friends, and spreading unconditional love. He was a very independent person, always willing to help others.Survivors include his wife, Yolanda Rideaux Roy; his eight children, Ladasha (Tony) Ozene, Tanya (Albert) Johnlouis, Jessica Noel, Jeremy Woods, Jordan Rideaux, Whitney (Joshua) Zenon, Kendell Rideaux and Porchia Rideaux; twenty-five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; five brothers, Delton (Cora) Roy, Ulysses "TBoo" (Gloria) Roy, both of Opelousas, Ricky (Jessica) Roy, Wilson Roy and Chris Roy, all of Lafayette; one sister, Linda Roy of Carencro. He was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred Roy and the former Annabell Alfred; one sister, Barbara Bossier; one granddaughter, Kylie Celestine; and one brother-in-law, Anthony Senegal.A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.The family of James “Jimmy” Roy would like to express our sincerest gratitude for your words of comfort and kindness shown to us during this time of bereavement, for all the prayers, visits calls and texts. Beatrice is the third child of nine children born. She was born into the union of the late Reverend Samuel Carloss Jr. and Shirley Mae Carloss. Beatrice was named after her paternal grandmother. Beatrice was baptized at an early age at Holly Baptist Church by the late Reverend ITE Stewart. Beatrice attended Church and Sunday School where she loved to sing. Beatrice graduated from Wisner-Gilbert High School in 1970. She relocated to Houston, Texas, where she worked in the community. In later years, she relocated to Baton Rouge, LA, where she attended Camelot Career College and graduated as an Advanced Medical Assistant. Beatrice leaves to cherish her precious memories: her daughters, Tashanna Carloss-Duncan (Mareo) and Monica Carloss, and two sons, Christopher Carloss and Lloyd Carloss. Three sisters: Delois Lee, Dorothy Ann Carloss, and Barbara Ann Carloss. One brother, Sylvester Carloss. Six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Samuel Carloss Jr. (Shirley Mae Wilford Carloss); daughter Dione Carloss; two sisters, Janet Carloss and Patricia Carloss; two brothers, Samuel Carloss III (Earlene) and Clinton Carloss. Gene is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lucinda Lee Tarver, step son, Jeremy Kavon Ghaffari, brother Jerry "JT" Tarver, one sister in law, Vickie Tarver and nieces and nephews, Chris DeBenedictis, Melissa DeBenedictis, Mollie Elizabeth Tarver, Aaron James Tarver, and 5 great nieces and nephews. Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Mary Tarver and brothers, Terry Tarver and Mike DeBenedictis. Gene graduated from Clinton High School, attended LSU then Southeastern University. Gene was a member of Clinton Presbyterian Church. He was a deacon for this church for several years.He loved to hunt, fish and just enjoyed the outdoors even if was just sitting outside. Gene loved taking care of his family and loved them so much. Gene was gentle, caring, sweet and comical and always wanting to make someone laugh. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Lonnie Stephen Pocorello was born on July 28, 1960 to Joseph and Alice Pocorello. He went home to be with Jesus on February 16, 2024. He graduated from Pride High School in 1978. Lonnie was a devoted husband, dedicated father and a loving son. He worked at multiple plants throughout his career as an Instrument Technician. In recent years, he was self-employed as a licensed electrician specializing in generator maintenance and sales. He will be remembered as a devoted follower of Jesus and being an avid outdoorsman with his love of fishing and hunting. Nothing was more important to him than his loving wife of 39 years and their three daughters. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and dedicated his life to providing and protecting his family and helping others. He is survived by his wife, Tara Turner Pocorello; daughters, Jessica Yost (Hank), Jada Barrett (Barry) and Jena Pocorello (Dustin Wonnacott); grandchildren, Brock, Bella, and Brody Barrett, Blakely Jo Pocorello, Makenzie and Madison Yost and Gracie Rydeen. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge LA, Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 10:00am until service time of 1:00pm. Interment will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in his name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or MDA Anderson.
