Joanne C. Lauck (nee Habig),the loving wife of 66 years to Donald F. Lauck, Sr. , She is the adored mother of Don (Jean) Lauck, Jim (Laura) Lauck, Tom Lauck and Cathy (Jim) Janszen. Joanne is the loving grandmother of Ryan, Kevin (Chelsea) and Bryan Lauck, Allison (Nick) Berning, Amanda, Hannah, Jimmy and Danielle and proud great grandmother of Chloe, Copelan, Wyatt, Harper and Aiden. She is the sister of Irene (the late Harvey) Hufnagel and Helen Lucille Habig, R. S. M. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Irene (nee Rinck) and Joseph Habig, her sister of the late Rosemary (the late Ed) Lohaus, the late Martha (the late Joe) Vitucci, and the late Dorothy (the late Bill) Conrad. After a long illness, Joanne passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on December 2, 2023, at the age of 86. She never complained through all her suffering and put up a valiant fight. Joanne loved to golf, vacation and all things in nature, especially the Smoky Mountains. Her greatest joy was being a mother and she will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, quick wit and selfless love. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be in the Gathering Space of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 3450 Lumardo Drive (45238) on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Christine Klein age 84, of Mount Healthy, Ohio passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023. She was born in Elsmere, Kentucky on October 8, 1939 to Jesse and Aldean Moore (nee Knight). Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband, Tom Klein. Christine is survived by her Daughters, Kathleen (Wayne) Pieper, Marianna (LeAnn) Hagen, Michele Feldman, Angela Hagen, Rebecca (Gregory) Cheek, Grandchildren, Rachael (James) Sigafoose, Adam (Justin) Hagen-Stein, Kyle (Gabby) Pieper, Courtney (Chris) Eick, Siblings Jesse (Judy) Moore, William (Vivian) Moore, Phillip (Carolyn) Moore, Gloria Moore Fieger, 10 Great Grandchildren, And 5 Step-Children, and a host of other family members and friends. Christine loved watching Nascar, the Cincinnati Reds and was active with Moose Lodges while she was in Florida. She also enjoyed doing puzzles and she loved to read. But most of all she loved spending time with her family. Jack James Lemming, Sr. , age 94, of Demossville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023. He was born in Loda, Illinois on February 2, 1929 to the late John William and Catherine Lemming (nee Genzel). He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 62 years Grace Lucille Lemming (nee Sharon), son, Robert Lemming, granddaughter, Brandy Grace, siblings, Marion Lemming, Warren Lemming, Robert Lemming, Marge Young, Barbara Kuhn, Esther Johnson and Benjamin Lemming. Jack is survived by his beloved children, Brenda (Barry) Hampton, Jack (Melissa) Lemming, Jr. , and John (Tracy) Lemming; step-son, Nelson (Mary) Lemming; grandchildren, Jody Boyce, Tyler Hampton, Ashley Lemming, Ian (Rachel) Lemming, Chaz Lemming and Garrett Lemming; great-grandchildren, Peyton Lemming, Avery Lemming, Mya Boyce and Zayne Boyce; and a host of other family members and friends. Jack was a proud WWII veteran, serving in the Navy on the USS Boxer CV-21. He had a great love for animals and his family, always playing with his children outside. Robert Houston

Age - 87

Robert (Bob) Houston went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2023 at the age of 87. Bob was raised in Norman, Oklahoma where he met the love of his life, Carol "Sue" (Moring). She was working in the ticket booth at the local movie theatre and he was running the projector. He was smitten right away. They were married on December 21, 1957 and enjoyed nearly 66 years of a beautiful marriage. Shortly after their wedding, having earned his degree in chemistry at the University of Oklahoma, they moved to Cincinnati, where he worked as an analytical chemist at Procter and Gamble for his entire career. Bob and Sue became the perfect parents of two children, Michael Houston (who preceded Bob in death) and Janet Houston (Doug Oberklaus). Bob is also survived by his granddaughter Lauren Woods (Garrett), his sister Ellen Mitchell, and many nieces and nephews. Bob was an avid reader and sportsman. Woodworking was a hobby that he enjoyed immensely, and he was an extremely talented carver. He had broad, deep knowledge of a wide variety of subjects. He knew every tree, the type of wood, its properties and best uses. Plants, birds, construction, fishing, hunting, guns, boating, football, and on and on. He was a formidable adversary in Trivial Pursuit or any knowledge-based game. Everyone could tell that Bob had a special warmth, no airs or pretense, just a genuine person. For some, it took a while to get his sense of humor, but, when they did, they were surely rewarded. He always called himself an introvert, but he really enjoyed people. If anyone needed help, Bob was always happy to lend a hand. To know Bob was to love him. He loved his family with all of his heart. He loved his friends, his church and the people in it, but above all, he loved the Lord. Although he will be sorely missed, and his loss is painful, we know that he is truly happy to be soaring with the angels. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Christ Covenant Church. Robert P. Gettys, 78, passed away October 19, 2023 after a lengthy illness. He was a graduate of Boone County High School, Western Kentucky University, and Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He was a naturally talented trial lawyer in both criminal and civil practice. His proudest accomplishment was singularly defending the only corporate defendant remaining at trial call to a successful defense verdict against the battery of lawyers representing plaintiffs in the Beverly Hills Supper Club fire case. He is survived by four children, Joan (Drew) Howell, Ryan Gettys, Elizabeth Gettys, Kelly Gettys; six grandchildren, Camille Vires, John Wyatt Vires, Hudson Gettys, Chase Gettys, Arden Gettys, and Audrey Gettys; two brothers, his identical twin, Norb (Marilyn) Gettys, Patrick (Marilyn) Gettys; two sisters, Jane (Steve) Montgomery, Joyce (Mike) Wagner; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Emorillis Gettys, older brother, Paul, and granddaughter, Garon Vires.
