MaKayla LeAnne Tuck was born on August 6, 2005, in Lawrenceburg, TN, to her loving mother, Holly Tuck. She grew up with a passion for life and an unwavering spirit. MaKayla recently graduated from Frank Hughes High School as a member of the Class of 2023. She found solace and strength in her faith and attended Old Union Community Church. MaKayla's creative talents knew no bounds. She had a natural flair for makeup that allowed her to express herself artistically. Alongside her love for cosmetics, she adorned herself with beautiful hairstyles and meticulously painted nails. Her artistic skills extended beyond beauty as she found joy in drawing and painting. October 6, 2023, at the tender age of 18 years and 2 months, MaKayla left this world behind, leaving a lasting impact on all those who knew her. MaKayla is survived by her mother, Holly Tuck (Donald) ; two sisters, Lindee Rae Tuck and Sierra Gaconnet; two brothers, Levi Tuck and Travis Gaconnet; her nana, Leigh Staggs all of Clifton, TN; grandfather Tony Tuck of Maryland; great-grandmother Linda Bratcher of Waynesboro, TN; Aunt, Heather Davis of Clifton, TN; uncles, Dylan Berry (Chloe, Easton and Ranson Berry) of Humbolt, TN, and Michael Kilzer of Clifton, TN; great-aunt, Lisa Staggs; great-uncle Shayne Bratcher (Nikki); along with numerous other relatives and friends who cherished her dearly. In her passing, MaKayla joins her great-grandfathers Jerry Bratcher and Charles Tuck. She is along with her great-uncle Layne Bratcher. The visitation for MaKayla will take place on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Waynesboro, TN. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Waynesboro, TN, with Shayne Bratcher officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hebron Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

She was born on November 14, 1941, in Waynesboro, TN to Shaler Brewer and Alice Spann. Lenora dedicated many years of her life to Angelica Manufacturing, where she worked as a pair girl. While her professional life was important to her, Lenora's true passion resided in her love for cats. She found solace and joy in their company and cherished the time spent with them. She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Coppler; a son, Terry (Jane)Cummins; two grandchildren, Bronson (Kandee) Ayers, and Eric Cummins; three great grandchildren, Corbin Ayers, Zander Cummins, Claire Cummins; great greatgrandchildren, Kristain Howard and Cameron Howard; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Johnny Kephart, Jasper Kephart, Richard Kephart, Bailey Kephart, Alec Kephart, Jimmy Kephart, and sisters, Monnie Hudgins, Georgia Staggs, and Wilton Rumbaugh. Charles Allen Brewer, born July 11, 1944, to the late Tom Brewer Jr. and Willie Lunell Hardin Brewer, passed on November 07, 2023, at 79 years of age. Charles was a member of the Waynesboro Church of Christ. He was a former employee of Lincoln Brass of Waynesboro, TN. Charles also helped construct Wayne Medical Center, where he also later worked as a custodian. He enjoyed going out and riding around so much that the ladies at Buffalo River would take him riding around the county. He is survived by his brother, David H. Brewer (Patsy) of Lawrenceburg, TN; sister, Ada Jane Brewer Flippo of Waynesboro, TN; sister-in-law, Jane Brewer of Lawrenceburg, Tn; nieces, Vanessa Kelley (Jim) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Bridget Brewer Howland (Tim) of Murfreesboro, TN; nephews, Brent Brewer of Leoma, TN and Seth Flippo of Waynesboro, TN. Several great nieces and nephews, Kathleen Sego of Spring Hill, TN, Seth Blasingim of Nashville, TN, Katie Blasingim of Knoxville, TN, Kyle Blasingim of Nashville, TN, Brooke Brewer and Chandler Brewer of Leoma, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Tom Frank Brewer, and nephew Thomas Keith Brewer. Emogene Nelson was born April 11, 1928, in Lawrence County, TN, the daughter of the late Authur Clyde Hollis and Grace Truman Holli . Although she wasn't an orphan, she lived for 8 years at the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home in Franklin, TN. Emogene was united in marriage on June 09, 1946, to the love of her life William Robert Nelson. She dedicated 27 years as an employee for Anjelica MFG as a supervisor. Emogene volunteered many years at the Natchez Trace Welcome Center in Collinwood, TN. She was a dedicated member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Westpoint, TN. Emogene had many interests, but she had a passion for sewing, quilting, crocheting, fishing and word search puzzles. Emogene departed this life on November 4, 2023, in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 95 years, 6 months, 24 days. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edna Sue McDonald, a beloved member of our community. Sue, as she was affectionately known, was born on June 27, 1931, in Waynesboro, TN to her loving parents John Marion "Bay" Kelley and Lessie Copeland. Sue's life was filled with love and dedication. On November 22, 2023, she married the late Fay McDonald, and he preceded her in death on January 14, 2017. Sue's faith was an integral part of who she was. She attended Kelley's Chapel and Calvary Baptist Church where she lovingly served as a Sunday schoolteacher. Her commitment to her faith and her congregation touched the hearts of many. Professionally, Sue excelled as a sales consultant for Avon. Her determination and passion made her a top salesperson time and time again. In addition to her work with Avon, Sue also dedicated many years to the manufacturing industry. On October 24, 2023, Sue peacefully departed this life in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 92 years, 3 months, and 27 days. While they did not have any children of their own, Sue cherished her special relatives and caregivers who brought immense joy to her life: John (Sherry) McDonald, Tyler (Nicole), Hazel Ann, Colt, Colby (Courtney), and Layney McDonald. Jordan (Bailee), Jaxton, and Bennett Horton. Along with Anita Skelton who was a special friend. Special nieces: Charlene, McGahen, Wanda Smith, Shirley Crews and Dawn Moore Skelton (Jeff). Special nephew, Frankie Kelley. Sue now joins her siblings in eternal peace as they await us in the embrace of the Lord. Judy Owen was born on January 27, 1949 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of the late James Everette and Edith Roberta Petty Baker. She was united in marriage to Johnny Owen, who preceded his wife in death. Judy worked as a beautician and attended Savannah Church of Christ. Known for her radiant personality, Judy had an incredible gift for making connections wherever she went. Striking up conversations effortlessly, she never met a stranger. Her genuine interest in others and her ability to listen with compassion made her a friend to all. Judy had an adventurous spirit that beckoned her to explore the world. One of her greatest joys was embarking on journeys near and far, delighting in discovering new places and experiences. Amongst her favorite destinations was Tunica, Mississippi, where she would find joy and relaxation. Judy also loved the thrill of finding a good deal. She frequently visited various thrift stores and antique shops, including one of her favorites, Goodwill. A lover of nature, Judy cherished spending time outdoors amidst the beauty of nature. Tending to her garden brought her immense joy as she nurtured vibrant flowers that bloomed under her care. Cooking and baking were among Judy's many talents. Her kitchen was filled with mouthwatering aromas as she prepared delicious meals for loved ones. Her signature chicken and dumplings were a testament to her culinary skills, while her caramel cake was a sweet delight that brought joy to all who tasted it. But above all else, family held the utmost importance in Judy's heart. She cherished every moment spent with loved ones, creating precious memories that will be cherished forever. Judy Owen departed this life on Monday, October 23, 2023 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 74 years, 8 months, and 26 days. She is survived by her niece, Paige Baker; great nieces, Allison Lambert and Ashlyn Baker; 2 great great nephews; 3 great great nieces; significant other, Bill Nobles; and a host of additional friends and extended family. Bobby’s life was a testament to hard work, strong values, and unwavering love for his family, fishing and hunting. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Bobby was born on October 25, 1947, in Woodbury, TN and attended High School at Woodbury High School. Bobby dedicated over 30 years of his life to his work at TDS and contracting telephone work. His strong work ethic and determination served as an inspiration to those around him. Beyond his professional achievements, Bobby truly appreciated the simple pleasures in life, whether it was working alongside his son on the farm or caring for his hound dogs, Bobby found solace intending to what mattered most to him. His dove fields thrived under his care, and he took pride in a pristine yard and a clean 4-wheeler. Bobby found happiness in helping others and always enjoyed visitors stopping by. He also cherished spending quality time with his grandkids. The bond they shared was undeniable as they explored together on 4 wheelers around Topsy and the buffalo created lasting memories that will forever be treasured. Bobby’s legacy lives on through the love he shared with those closest to him. Eva Mae Stooksberry Wise was born on September 10, 1927, to John Robert Stooksberry and Clara Mae Haddock in Collinwood, Tennessee. She died at the age of 96, peacefully on October 8, 2023, at Boyd Cottages in Waynesboro, Tennessee. Eva lost her father when she was 7 years old, leaving her mother Clara ("Big Granny") to raise four young children in Waynesboro. Eva’s grandmother, Polly Horton Stooksberry, moved in with the young family to help raise the children during the 1940’s. She was affectionately called "Miss Eva" by friends and had three brothers who predeceased her: Harvel Marshall Stooksberry, James English Stooksberry, and Theda Stooksberry. In December 1945, Eva married James Thomas "Tommy" Copous while he was home in Waynesboro on leave. They had two sons James Robert Copous and David Harvel Copous. In 1963, she moved to Texas to help provide better opportunities for her sons. In April 2023, she lost her 96-year-old husband, George James "Jimmy" Wise. Jimmy and Eva married in Houston, Texas, on March 6, 1971. When not working they enjoyed their fishing boat, motorcycle trips through the countryside, gardening and helping to raise grandchildren. In 1990, they retired and moved back to Waynesboro. In retirement, Eva was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Green River Baptist Church. Well into her 80’s she devoted time to "visit the old people" and deliver meals. Being a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt was her true calling. She was a lady with kind and encouraging words for all. Eva is predeceased by her parents, brothers, husband, son David and grandson Marty. Eva is survived by her son Robert Copous and wife Faye; daughter-in-law Charlotte Copous, brother-in-law Billy "B. J" Copous, sister-in-law Golda Jo Wise-Davis, brother-in-laws Russell (Wendy) and Don Wise (Diane). She is further survived by all who called her "Grandmother": John Robert Copous, Angela Ruth Copous, Frank Joseph Copous, Marshall Anthony Copous, Steven Corey Stooksberry, Maegan Stooksberry Cox, Dwayne Odom, Christan Nicole Smith, Holden Copous, Preston Copous, Allison Copous, Brendan Fleming, Cooper Smith and Miles Smith. It is with great appreciation the family extends a heart-felt thank you to the team at Tennessee Home Health for their care over the last few years and the team at Boyd Cottages for the care Eva received the past seven months. Thank you for grace and dignity you provide to loved ones. Your passion makes a difference.
