Mae Louise "Billie" Grant departed this life at the age of 96 on Friday, September 8, 2023, in the comfort of her home. She was the last surviving child of Benjamin F. and Julia May (Preissler) Caple. Her lifelong nickname "Billie" was lovingly conferred by her maternal grandfather before she was a year old. She was preceded in death by her husband Sylvester Grant, Jr. , daughter Karen,son David, and her four siblings. Throughout her life she cherished the roles of wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved the game of golf, made friends wherever she went, and will be remembered by family and friends for her gift of storytelling. Keeping her memory alive are her son Steve (Kathy), daughters Debbie (Nick) Geldis, Sheila (Brian) Blanch and Sandy Grant, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Consistent with her wishes, there will be no visitation or services at this time. A graveside service with extended family will be held at Calvary Cemetery in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, at a future date. Memorial donations may be made to Ohio Living Hospice or the Upper Arlington Commission on Aging

On November 30, 2023 William "Bill" Thompson, beloved father and husband, peacefully passed away in Columbus, OH at the age of 70. Bill was born July 24, 1953 in Columbus, OH to James and Merriam (Eckler) Thompson. He graduated from North High School in 1971, where he played tuba in both the North High School and the All-Ohio Boys' marching bands. He then went on to earn a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Communications at The Ohio State University in 1975, where he was a member of the men's glee club. He met his wife Kay in 1988, and they wed on September 2, 1989. He raised 2 daughters, and was an active member of the North Broadway United Methodist Church adult bell and vocal choirs. He retired after 28 years from The Ohio State University, where he worked in both the hospital, and in student services. In his free time, he enjoyed watching Ohio State sports, listening to all kinds of music, and spending time with his family. Bill was preceded in death by his daughter Hannah, and his parents James and Merriam Thompson. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Kay and daughter Julia. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at North Broadway United Methodist Church, 48 E North Broadway Street, Columbus, OH 43214, with the funeral being held thereafter, officiated by Rev. Marcus Atha, and a small graveside service. The family would like to say a special thank you to the care aids and nurses at Crown Pointe Care Center, as well as the staff of Bella Care Hospice. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bobbie Jo Chandler, on November 16, 2023. Born July 9, 1969, Bobbie lived a life filled with love and family, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to shine bright in the hearts of those she touched. She is survived by her mother, Sheila Allard, who supported her throughout her life journey. Her memory will continue to be celebrated by her loving daughters, Sheila Geyer and Cheyenne Chandler, and her son, Caleb Allard. Who will forever hold their mother's love in their hearts. Bobbie is also survived by her sister Betty Stewart who stood by her side throughout the joys and trials of life. Bobbie's brightness will remain etched in the memories of her grandsons; Levi, Isaac, and Liam Geyer, and Elijah Riffle. Their grandmother's love will continue to guide them as they forge their future paths. Before her passing, Bobbie endured the heartbreaking loss of her father, William Allard, and her son, Stephen Chandler Jr. We find some peace in knowing that they are now reunited in their ethereal journey beyond life. Throughout her life, Bobbie embodied strength and perseverance, and those who knew her will remember her for her unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind not just memories, but a legacy of love, resilience, and undying familial ties. As we bid farewell to Bobbie, we celebrate the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the everlasting impact she had on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Marjorie Harrold passed away with her children by her side on November 27, 2023, at Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio, after a brief illness. Marge was born in Salem, Ohio on August 21, 1943, to Raymond and Bertha (Drotleff) Denny. She was raised on a dairy farm and was a 1961 graduate of West Branch High School, where she was actively involved in music, theater, and as the school newspaper editor. Marge earned a degree in Education from Mount Union College in 1965. While at Mount Union, she was chosen May Queen and met her husband, Richard. They were married on August 28, 1965. Marge taught at Alliance City Schools after graduation. She then moved to Germany to join Rich who was serving in the U. S. Army and stationed in Wildflecken, Germany. After returning to the United States, they became longtime residents of Sandusky. Marge began teaching elementary grades at Sandusky City Schools in 1968, where she remained until she retired due to health issues. Marge loved to travel, play bridge and euchre in card clubs, spend time with her friends, and attend her children's and grandchildren’s events. Marge inspired her family by her toughness dealing with crippling rheumatoid arthritis for 48 years, additional autoimmune diseases, and a related lymphoma. She could still be seen down on the ground playing with her grandchildren when they were young. Marge was a lifelong Lutheran and active member of Zion Lutheran Church of Huron. Marge and Rich were married for 57 years before his death in 2022. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Janet Kekel. She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Lenyo and husband David of Huron; her son, Bradley Harrold and wife Melissa of Powell; grandchildren Alexandria Lenyo, Nicholas Lenyo, Ella Harrold, and Ian Harrold; brother Robert Denny and wife Pamela; and brother-in-law Robert Kekel. A small family service will be held to celebrate Marge’s life. Karen Lee Wilson, born April 11, 1942, to Robert F Maurer and Beatrice W Capehart Maurer, in Columbus, Ohio, left this earth peacefully on November 30, 2023, in Westerville, Ohio. Karen graduated from West High School, Columbus Ohio in 1961. Before settling into her life as a stay at home mother, an avid crocheter, and pizza shop owner, she worked for City National Bank. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Maurer, her mother and adoptive father Beatrice and Leonard A Nelson, great grandson Jamey, and her only sibling Linda D. Fout. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas E Wilson; and her children Tina Siddle (James), Michael (Erin), Christina Phillips (Brian), and Brian (Holly). She loved all of her babies dearly. She is also survived by her grandchildren Christina, Jennifer, Amber, James, Andrew, Brent, Rachel, Sarah, Brendan, Claire, Anastasia, Bailey, Isabelle, Lucas, and Peyton. Great grandchildren Jadyn, Marissa, Mackenzie, James, John, Devin, Makenna, Brooklyn, Shanelle, Nicholas, Bentley, Oliver, Carmen, Delilah, Malakai, Malik, Malcolm, Paisley, and great great granddaughter Briar. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and customers from her many years of owning and operating Glengary Pizza, Westerville Plaza Pizza, and Westerview Plaza Pizza. Family and friends may call on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 4:00pm-7:00pm for calling hours. A funeral service will be held the following morning, Tuesday, December 12, 2023 starting at 11:00am with Pastor Jim Blankenship officiating. A burial will follow at Blendon Central Cemetery.
