Madonna Moreland Obituary

Madonna Haley Moreland, 73, wife of Barry Moreland, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Madonna was born on June 23, 1949, to Michael and Kathleen O'Brien Haley in Dayton, Ohio. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Frankfort, Kentucky. Madonna was an artist, loved gardening, and enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle. Madonna was most proud of her daughters, grandkids, and held her family above all. Madonna is survived by her husband of 54 years, Barry; two daughters Tracy (Barry Nathan) Davis of Louisville; and Kristin (Darold Shane) Dempsey of Frankfort; sisters Kathleen Haley, Maureen (Michael) Davis, Paula Haley all of Frankfort; brother Michael Haley of Tulsa Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren Nathaniel Davis, Haley Davis, Seth Pickard, Morgan Wilson, Savannah Dempsey, Shelby Dempsey, Mackenzie Pickard, and Jordyn Dempsey; five great grandchildren Tristan Davis, Flora Leininger, Cressida Davis, Charly Leininger, and Zinnia Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Sharon Sowers, and one brother Stephen Haley. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 28, 2023, at Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Rd, Frankfort, KY with Fr. John Lijana officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in the chapel, Visitation will begin on Thursday from 6p until 8p and will continue Friday, 11a until the time of service, at the funeral home.
