Madeline Showell Obituary

Madeline M. Showell, 84, of Dagsboro, DE, departed this life on Friday, April 21, 2023, at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton in Easton, MD. Born in Accomack County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Willard Morris and Odessa Stanley Griffin. Her husband, Clifton Showell, also preceded her in death. Mrs. Showell was a member of Dagsboro Church of God. She will be lovingly remembered by: three daughters, Martha Morris, Odessa Showell, and Wanda Fisher (Norman); four sons, Clifton Showell, Jr. (Yvonne), Carlton Showell, Horace Showell (Otina), and Shelton Showell; one sister, Roxie Morris; a granddaughter whom she raised, Shelly Morris; 15 other grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Mrs. Showell will lie in repose on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 11 AM to 12 PM at St. John 2nd Baptist Church, 26602 Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro, DE. The funeral service will begin at 12 PM. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
