"Mable Douglas Lumpp, age 87 of Charlottesville, VA went home to be with her "Lord Jesus Christ" on September 10, 2023, she is currently enjoying the beauty of Heaven in the presence of her Savior. Mable is survived by her devoted husband of 69 beautiful years, Walter Lumpp; held her (My Bride's) hand and cared for her until the last moment. This is our love story, Mable as "my bride" and "sweetheart". We met when she was 17 years old, after just a couple dates, fell in love. In the months that followed, I asked her to marry me, soon she turned 18 we tied the knot and never looked back. Everyone who knew Mable knew that she was an extremely kind, loving, gentle and peaceful person, and that she loved her family very much. Mable was born June 2, 1936 in Sanford NC, she was the youngest daughter of the late Leon and Iantha Douglas. She has one loving sister Leta Ryder in Virginia Beach, VA. She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Bell and Candie Brittain(Kirk). Mable will be joining her oldest daughter Cynthia Lumpp in heaven. She leaves behind her Grandchildren Lisa Gentry (Doug), Kimberlee Bell, Crystal Armstrong (Cris), Christopher Brittain (Kacie); great grandchildren Kelsi Gentry, Amaya Johnson, and Harper Banks; and many nieces and nephews in Virginia she loved.
