Ronald Schippert Jr

Ronald Schippert Jr

Age - 47

December 2, 2023

Ronald Schippert, Jr. , affectionately known as Ron, Ronnie, and "dad," left us too soon on November 28, 2023, at the age of 47. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was a 1994 graduate of Frankford High School. Ron was a hardworking machinist and contractor working between both Philadelphia and West Palm Beach, Florida. Most dear to his heart was his calling as an Outreach Specialist in the recovery field; he was passionate about helping those struggling with addiction and went to all lengths to pair individuals with just the right resources on their journeys to wellness. Even if he couldn't do something for himself, he would find a way to do it for others. He saved so many lives, touched so many people, and influenced many more than any of us will ever know. But perhaps the role he was most proud of was that of a devoted father to his daughter, AnnMarie. Over the years, he shared with her his love for drawing, fishing, and surfing, all talents that to this day, she continues to exude. Though AnnMarie didn't like the "waiting part" of fishing, Ron taught her patience and how peaceful it was to be present in the moment. He inspired her and gave her her "creative bones. " Throughout her life, he would spend time doing crafts from coloring and painting, to making things out of playdough and clay, going to graffiti pier, and showing her how to epoxy. Ron absolutely loved going to concerts and shared so many of those experiences with AnnMarie. Time together with his family and friends meant the world to him. He was a father, son, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed many get-togethers and BBQs, showing off his grilling talents. Fishing of any variety was his absolute favorite - surf-, deep-sea-, etc. , it didn't matter. Wherever he traveled, you could find Ron wandering off looking for the nearest body of water to conquer. Though at times silly and carefree, he loved making people laugh. He was an encouraging friend who had a caring and forgiving soul. With a giving heart and soul, Ron frequently checked in with everyone around him offering them his support, care, or perhaps, just a listening ear. Ron was a passionate Philly sports fan with a huge devotion to the Flyers. He was most at peace with the ocean and loved to surf (and again, fish!). Concerts, listening to music and pursuing the next big jackpot via scratch-off tickets gave him so much happiness. Ron will be eternally missed by his devoted daughter, AnnMarie Schippert; his loving parents, Ronald, Sr. and Joanne, brother, Robert Schippert, sister, Leah Lackman (and husband, Bill); his dear nephews: William R. , Shane, and Casey; his former wife, Andrea Difonzo (Mike Love) and their son, Andrew Difonzo; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Allen and Leah Schippert and Robert and Margaret Poulson. Family and friends are invited to Ron's Life Celebration on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 9:00am-11:00am at John F. Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. His Memorial Service will follow afterwards at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Ron's memory to Livengrin Foundation, 4833 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020 (https://livengrin. org/) or Self Help Movement, 2680 Southampton Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116 (https://selfhelpmovement. org ) 1-800-GIVNISHShow more
